I'm impressed. It only took 2 replies for someone to bring up his religion as if it has anything to do with his ability on the football field.
He has potential and maybe the third best QB in this years draft. I add in his versatility and ability to bring in fans.
After his pro day, experts say he's a 2nd round pick. i agree. Tebow has everything a QB should have and can always be taught more stuff. If we didn't have a starting QB that could do the job (luckily we do), I'd want Tebow.
Chad Henne says Tebow "isn't an NFL quarterback" Posted by Mike Florio on March 18, 2010 12:33 AM ET As Florida quarterback Tim Tebow continues to prepare for the NFL, one of the men who already holds a starting quarterback job at the highest level of the sport has a strong opinion on the subject. "My judgment is that he's not an NFL quarterback," Henne told Curtis Stevenson and Anita Marks of WQAM in Miami regarding Tebow. "I'll leave it at that." Wow. Making Henne's opinion more compelling is the fact that his position coach, David Lee, is one of the men who are helping Tebow become that which Lee's primary pupil says Tebow isn't. And suddenly we hope Tebow lands in the AFC East.
huh? Dude all I hear from the media is how great this guy is and how great of a team mate he is. Anyone who has an issue with his religious beliefs probably has more to do with his ridiculous SB commercial that anything the media has said
He will go to J-ville. They really need the boost in fan support for his college fans, and really need a QB
Maybe we should draft Tebow at 28 and get him all skooled up under Norv, and then sell him off to the highest bidder! If Charlie Whitehurst can get us up in the 2nd round and a possible 2nd round/third round pick...imagine what Tebow would get us if he came off???! ...and if he doesn't we could always convert him to a Halfback. I'm 23.5% serious about this:icon_rofl:
Tebow is so overhyped... both positively and negatively... It will be interesting to see how he does in the NFL but I don't know if I'd want to burn a 2nd or 3rd round pick on the kid for our team. By all accounts he's a good kid who works hard and has great leadership qualities - that's about all I know b/c depending on which pundit is yapping he's either the 2nd coming or a future draft bust. :icon_shrug:
Who would have thunk it????????? The Chargers have other needs, but after trading Charlie Whitehurst and after Tim Tebow’s good performance at his pro day, maybe they will be interested in making Tebow their No. 3 quarterback if he’s available in the third round. It’s a long shot, but there is now an opening. http://espn.go.com/blog/afcwest/post/_/id/11183/evening-afc-west-news-and-notes-101
Tim Tebow is over hyped but he;ll be just fine in the NFL in a few years. I hope someone does take him to be their franchise QB. He's "multi-dimensional" but his team will be all-Tebow-all-the-time so they'll actually be one-dimensional. So whoever has Tebow, will probably be either an annual disappointment or, if they keep him on the bench so he can develop into a team leader, a team that "wasted Tebow's talents" and winds up trading him to a team that makes him a superstar.
We have way more needs than to waste a 3rd round pick for a guy who will do nothing more than carry a clip board on Sundays and run the scout team offense. we can do that with a practice squad guy
No, AJ likes to say he only goes after character, they drafts guys like Cro and Phillips who whined when he wasn't voted to the Chargers top 50 list
Really man? I don't think most people hate him because he's christian unless they reaaaaaaly hated christianity in the first place. People don't like him because he is so overrated and overconfident. So what, he won a heisman... Remember Eric crouch? He was drafted as a WR and where is he now? Retired and i'm probably one of 37 people who remembers him. He was a 4th stringer in the CFL at one point... "In his inaugural CFL season, Crouch eventually became the fourth string quarterback in Toronto, behind Damon Allen, Michael Bishop, and Spergon Wynn."
