Great game. I was anctious (sp?) to see LT and Deion Sanders meet face to face because of the incident last year, on the post game set. They both handled it profesionally and Deion mentioned it and kind of apologized. LT looked happy and i'm glad to see that. Congrats on passing Faulk in the td list LT, we love you (no ****).
Thanks Johnny... It dawned on me that I saved the damn Donks schedule so I pulled it out.... They're 7-5... They'd better start losing. :icon_eek:
I'm shocked. I was wrong. They won. I'm shocked that Norv employed the exact scheme that he has been avoiding. Grind the ball. The run won. Holy shiit. I was wrong to think they wouldn't. They won because they let the big hoggies eat and beat some people up. Now I'm piissed because I don't understand where this team was. Of course I do realize it was the Raiders. But for that first half, this team owned the line because they finally knew they were going to be given that chance. Gawdam why did Norv wait so fuucking long for this gameplan? He's here to stay people. At least through next season.
That pretty much sums it up. Fuk it Nick I'll take it but if this team let's Sproles walk I might blow a gasket- Fuk the Raiders.
Yep. But I saved this game and wanna watch the tape this week. I gotta know for sure if this was just a flash or if there's actual reason to believe this team has turned some kind of corner. That 2nd half was pretty shiitty. Or was it? :icon_shrug: Fuccking Norv waits till we're 4-8 to go heavy on the run. Will he do it again vs. the #31 run defense next week?
The one thing I saw tonight that I haven't seen in the games that were lost - AGGRESSION. We are gonna **** you up - no matter what you throw at us. I wish they hated other teams like they hate the Raiders.... Oh and p.s. M80 needs to show some people how to wrap up a tackle! He got hold of his guy on a kick return and he held on - sure it was just to the uni but he didn't let him go. p.p.s. **** the zebras and their bullshit excuse for a "illegal block in the back" penalty on the Sproles return for a TD. Darren Sproles - you were robbed my friend but my fantasy team still loves you
no corner, just facing the raiders after an embarrising season. donks beat the chefs this weekend an' we're all but done. it was quaint to see the kids not sully themselves in front of the nation but i fear this season is as good as last weeks bird. nothing but bread, mayo, and cranberry to fatten up the backside for another winter of discontent.
I'll buy a ticket on that ride. I am madly in football love with Darren Sproles - he has more heart and soul and bigger balls than most any player in the NFL - hands down. WRAP HIM UP AJ :icon_toast:
Thanks for the reality check. You always have been able to piss in the cheerios at the right moment. See U @ x-mas dude.
I'm not sure I understand. The Chargers haven't been running the ball very well all year. Beating on the Raiders doesn't really change that, does it?
Last time they played the Raiders Norv ran the ball a total of 30 times. This game, 46 times... I believe 26 times in the first half? Yeah, it was the Raiders. But there was a clear commitment to the run in this game. They better do the same damn thing against KC next week.
actually no you won't, leave'in the 19th to be on oahu with sarah's dad for xmas. btw- we get back on the 27th and our friend who hooked us up with the KC ticks aint goin' to the donk game on the 28th (29th??). i told sarah let's wait n see...you in if it's worth while?
Shiit... have a blast. (I ain't even thinking about the donks right now - still don't believe it'll matter actually)
the 'Let It Rock' vid for who was asking for the artist - per NFL.com it's Kevin Rudolf. http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80d0c16f
Jamarcus is taking it in the assss from nearly every radio personality I'm listening to. Dude is DONE.
A commitment to the run is great when it is having some success. But when LT is running into his O-line's back, and getting dropped constantly in the backfield, it ain't such a great plan. If it was as simple as "if we're committed to the run we win" then yeah, let's do it all the time. But a lot of the time it isn't accomplishing anything.
