Okay, I was surprised at people's ignorance with respect to Midnight Oil, Nick Lowe, Oingo Boingo and I'll even look past the fact that others like Marcy Playground and Nazareth were mentioned, but now I've decided to put my foot down for an artist that I can't even stand... Randy Newman! The guy's a 17-time Academy Award nominee, a 12-time Grammy nominee, 6-time Golden Globe nominee for starters. He's won an Oscar, two Emmys and four Grammys to name a few! While his songs may no longer appear on pop radio stations, he's far from a One Hit Wonder.
