I think numbers are baffling. You look at the padres numbers and what they did and what they gave up are two different. We pretty much out hit our opponents big time. Out scored them. Our pitching was not as good as it was but it was decent. The stat that Im more worried about is the RISP stat. You might think they did pretty good. But if you look at the playoffs, we had alot of opportunites to score and put the cards away. I dont care what happens in the regular season once the playoffs begin. Just like the chargers, we go 14-2. You know the story. We need some clutch hitting during the season and post season. If we can consistantly do this, then we should be ok. We dont always have to hit homeruns to prove my point. Just come through when we need it.

I posted regular season numbers, i'm 100 percent certain the RISP numbers for the playoffs sucked.

When you have 34 hits and only score 6 runs...its almost a given they were. Im wondering if anyone can dig those up and the year before as well.

Hoping to build on the tradition of St. Patrick’s Day, the Lake Elsinore Storm will host a party at The Diamond, starting their own tradition with the Inaugural Storm Sip ‘n Swing St. Patrick’s Day Party. With no charge for admission or parking, the Storm extend an open invitation to guests of all ages for a festive gathering on Saturday, March 17. The fireworks show is scheduled for 9:00pm, and guests are invited to watch the green and white pyrotechnics from the stadium seats, the grassy berm, or from the outfield grass.

The Storm would like to remind those planning on attending to bring your bats, your appetites, and most of all, wear your green!

PS Greg Maddux is an a-hole I've met him a number of times and I can safely say that John Rocker is nicer than him. Him and Glavine did each other in the rear end when they were in Atlanta.

The coolest player was antonio alfonseca i'm not sure if he's still in the league... dude signed everything gave away so many BP balls and joked around with the fans before the game. Loosest player you will ever find he doesn't give a **** about anything and will let you shake his 6th finger :abq2:

No but we were HEAVY favorites to win it all before the strike in '94. We were 74-40 when the strike occured which was the best record in the league that year. We were loaded with guys like Moises Alou, Larry Walker, Marquis Grissom, Pedro Martinez, Jeff Shaw, John Wetteland, Ken Hill, Cliff Floyd, Rondell White etc......

Had we won the WS we would have probably gotten a new stadium and the Expos would still be alive but now those ****ers in washington have them.

Fuc even Jackie Robinson played for Montreal. FUC bud selig he is a douchebag. I don't even follow baseball anymore it died when the expos left. Where else could you buy a ticket for 6 dollars CDN, move into the VIP seats without anyone caring, see the players and GM wander around the stadium and get tons of loot from the players because they had nobody to give things to? Also, I had attended two games where there were POWER OUTAGES and immediately I went to gather ticket stubs because that meant 1 ticket stub for blackout game = 1 free ticket to any other game. Collected around 40 ticket stubs went to 40 games for free. Plus there were a shitload of freebies and free ticket promotions. You could even eat dinner with the stadium security guards for 5 bucks for a gigantic pasta dinner and the money goes to charity. Anyway I have thousands of stories and know ALL the dirt on most of the guys in the league in the late '90s early '00. For some reason there were a shitload of celebrities at Expos games I have met Donald Sutherland there, Bill Cosby and the guy who played the T-1000 in terminator movies, just to name a few, who actually played pitch and catch with me and my buddies outside the stadium.

Yes, I know he is. According to XX 1090, the Angels' brass is "tired of Gary not admitting it." They are taking a hardline on this subject, as they should.

The Padres lost again today, to the Cubs, 8-6. Havent looked up the specifics yet.

One good thing was Terrmel Sledge (1090 calls him "Thermal"), hit a grand slam to tie the game at one point. That was his 3rd HR of ST to lead the team.
