I never take too much from spring training.

I think the Pads offense could be better if Kouzmanov and Sledge can produce, but I still think they're going to win on pitching and defense.

Who cares I have seen the Expos come back from an 8 run deficit in the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs and no runners on during a home opener. Mtl wins.

And I have seen a leadoff hitter score 3 times in the top of the first. In Baseball you can score 25 today, and have a no hitter thrown against ya tomorrow.

One day you can go 5 for 5, and the very next day, you can strike out 5 times.

Well maybe the socialist icon (dictator) can give him a presidential pardon? Nevermind I'm sure Chavez will take his US earnings and land for the greater good. Right?

oh, he's always hot. oh, you mean his batting. yeah. okay then.

Well, he did have his truck stolen and his refrigerator break down during camp. The bad luck was runnin wild.

(The PaDres WON again today, 7-6. Tomorrow, split-squad.)

A friend and I were wondering if his going on a tear had ANYTHING to do with Todd Walker leaving camp. We think not. But it sure is a coincidence, ne c'est pas?

I'm not excited. It's presumptuous to say we are. I am, though, happy that the new season starts next week.

I just like positive trends. If they have good mojo as they break camp, I would rather have that then no one hitting, pitching sucks, defense sucks, everyones hurt. None of this is happening.

So, I say it was a good camp. And it is what it is!
