They have about 5% true fans, but the other 95% are pompous *** bandwagoners that just like to suck each other off.

    Quick question:

Did you guys end up selling out your playoff game to the Titans?

I know it was getting real close.

That's a pretty crappy fan base you got there.

Yeah, and I doubt that there will be many Charger fans up at Foxboro.

Pats/Red Sox fans have BECOME Yankee fans, which is extra funny, because with all the **** they have had to listen to from Yankees fans over the years, you'd think they would understand, and not act like jackasses. Of course, most of them think the football was invented in 2001, and don't seem to remember the days when their team was a weak sister in the NFL. Then again, I'm sure a lot of their current fans weren't even aware of Patriots football before they started winning.

Great team, great players, and they've had a great season. Props to them, and props to the handful of Patriots fans I have met that don't feel the need to rub everyone else's noses in their team's success.

As a lonnnnnngtime Patriot fan, I agree that we have our share of bandwagoners. Any team that has a string of successful seasons will attract those who only want to be part of rooting for a winner.

It is, wrong, however, to assume that the majority of Patriot fans can be characterized thusly. There are many, many of us who remember watching Lance Alworth gracefully torching the Pats secondary at Fenway Park. We know full well what it's like to root for one of the least successful NFL franchises and that allows us to appreciate what we have now.

The Chargers are to be congratulated for their gutsy win last Sunday over the Colts but as I'm sure you understand, we hope that will be your last happy 2007-08 season memory

    Hahaha...

What a douchebag poster. It was never close and sold out without any problems. So how long you been on the bandwagon? Who was your team before the Pats? :icon_rofl:

Unlike the Charger fans who are the epitome of hard core, die hard fans.

    How pathetic... :icon_rofl:

Now you must be part of the 5% of decent Pats fan out there.

    Classy post.

I echo that, I am too young to remember them playing in Fenway, but I still have vivid memories of being destroyed by the Bears in the SB.

Congrats on defeating the Colts, your season reminds me a lot of our 2001 season. And that has me a bit worried.

You're getting me worried. I don't know that I've ever seen two Pats fans that both have a little bit of class ever post in the same thread. I might have to lower my previous estimate that 95% of pats fans are bandwagon tools down to only maybe 90%.

Kudos to both of you, and those like you. I respect anybody who is a true fan of their team, even Raider fans. I have no use for the morons who evidently have so little going for them in their lives that they have to talk **** to feel like somebody.

Actually the Red Sox fans have to be the worst fans of any professional franchise and there's a lot of crossover there.

Hey is Nomaaaaah playing this weekend? :icon_rofl:

I work with a pats fan. He is quite open in his complete and utter disregard for not having any football knowledge. He does not know what a first down is or the name of a single player on the pats except for Brady. He has not seen a single game this season, possibly ever. All he wants to do is talk ****, and he admits as much. I go into work on Monday morning, and I'm like "hey, it's on." He's like "What? What's on?" I'm like "NE, SD, AFCCG, Hello?" And he's going "When's the Superbowl? Didn't the Pats win? You're teh sux etc." I'm just like, "typical." Anyway, it gets old, fast.

Ok 500 seats out of 71500 in a first round playoff game and it was raining, would have easily sold out before gametime even without that stupid blackout rule.

You wanna bag on someone for their fan base you should go to Indy where they couldn't pack the house of the defending Super Bowl Champs. Their house (an indoor house) holds about 58000 and the last figures I saw were around 55000.

Hey come on savage be nice. Most Pats fans are very cool. I'm originally from SC but have summered in NE all my life until moving here quite a few years ago. Actually NE has a very good football history. Obviously nothing compared to this decade. But still a very good history. Any fan base has 5% jerk-offs but lets not let them ruin it for the rest of us. I hope your boy's get as health as possible for the game. It should be a good one. Congrats on last weeks win.

You get that with success. Cowboys had a ton of fans like that when they were "America's team."

I bet Southern California has a lot more Charger fans right now than they did week 5, some of whom couldn't name a single player on the Chargers roster other than LT.

I just heard on ESPN radio that the Chargers have forfeited their game with the Patriots on Sunday afternoon... is there any truth to this rumor?? Apparently a spokesman for San Diego noted that the consumption of jet fuel & the resulting carbon footprint in the pursuit of a hopeless win at Gillette stadium was truely unfair to the entire planet.

    I have to agree.

Sadly for us, it is true. I believe the pack and giants have decided to stay inside this weekend as well and spare everyone the formality of continuing this postseason any further. It was a bad idea on the NFL to allow it to happen in the first place.

If it does get blacked out, can you just send us coach Belicheck's personal video tape? I might not get to see the game, but I wouldn't want to miss the Chargers' signals.

And at a balmy 15 degrees it will just be sunny, no snow or sleet to contend with. Catching the ball or hits feel far more harsh when its a Balmy 15 degrees. You Eggers have sweet *** weather, but you'll be seeing Football weather this weekend

You guys still really believe that chit? WOW, hang on to any thread you can. I expect to see a good game this weekend, played buy the guys on the (frozen) field. It will be football, not cheating, or asterisks, just 11 guys on either side of the ball...

EastCoast? As in EastCoast bias? Can I just call you biased for short? You got not credibility around here. Keep believing the **** you get fed on sportcenter every night. It'll just be that much worse when the Chargers rip your heart out by beating your "unbeatable" Patriots.

I think your little balls would completely go away/ disintegrate in that balmy 15 degrees- so, watch out Chowderhead! Every northeasterner is the same. Trust me, I used to be one. We're over you and your gay-*** bretheren. Be gone cranberry stuffer!
