The Rock Goblin has passed. Fall to your knees and rock. You owe him that. And yes, this is relevant to football because countless NFL players have done the pre-game rock ritual to this man's music.
"If your circle stays unbroken, than you're a lucky man. 'Cause it never, never, never has for me. In the palace of the virgin lies the chalice of the soul, and it's likely you might find the answer there" \m/ \m/ RIP Ronnie.
I've been paying my respects since I found out yesterday, nothing but Rainbow, Dio, and Dio Sabbath since. This is the first celebrity death I have literally cried over. Dio is a legend, and I'm gonna miss the hell out of him, I'm just thankful I was lucky enough to have seen him live a few times.
I got to see him twice. Rainbow w/ Pat Travers and 6th. row on the Holy Diver tour. Both at the Sports Arena. :rockout::rockout:
I seen DIO live once back in the 90's on the ANGRY MACHINES tour. He played a small club in my area. I was only 10 feet from him during the show. Cool as hell to see him play all his hits. The club was packed !!! I've been playing old Rainbow, and Dio Sabbath music since I heard the news. I need to get the recent "Heaven & Hell" cd he did with his former Sabbath bandmates. It was BullSh*t that they couldn't use the Black Sabbath name this time around, because of a legal thing with the old fart Ozzy. DIO RULES, Sabbath was better with him NOT Ozzy. IMO.
