John Ramsdell is a competent QB coach. He's not at fault. I'd say the fault lies in the O-line and play selection. We know who's in charge of those. AJ and Norv. One brings them in, one designs plays that take too long to develop, the line breaks and the immobile QB begins to do his David Carr impression. Go Bolts!
KC i think is becoming the first team EVER to fail to lead a game for over 7 games in a season since the last poor team in 1929!!!
Balls were floating like always, we just didn't take any shots down field. I'm wonderin if Rivers has put on a little too much bulk. I know he's a gym rat, but you're not supposed to do things like curls and bench press when your career is based on throwing a ball. Look at Tom Brady, that guy is a soft little weakling compared to Philip Rivers, but he can whip it thats for sure.
To over simplify it, most of the muscle you build when you bench press can limit shoulder and scapular range of motion. Throwing a ball is about your legs, your balance, and your flexibility/range of motion, tricepts are important too. Which is why you see smaller guys like Tim Lincecum, Pedro Martinez, Tom Brady, Jay Cutler put some serious zip on the ball, while guys like Tim Tebow and Brady Quinn couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. Even Andrew Luck who is a physical freak and deadly accurate had one small concern...arm strength. Rivers doesn't have Peyton Hillis arms, but he is noticably HUGER since entering the league, particularly in the shoulder area.
