Players missing practice.

I have a brand new concern. In the last 2 weeks Gates, Merriman, Castillo, Cooper, Pinnock, and Turner have all been taking time off practice "as a precaution." And sure enough they all show up 100% the next day.

Do you think this is a good idea? That we're protecting out best assets early in the season?
Or do you think this is a classic Norv Turner move that will backfire and make the players soft and whiny?

imo - we are embarking on a journey that transcends the regular season. Our goals are lofty and there is a plan in place.

I don't think there should be much concern with the players listed in your post.

If it was someone that needed the reps then I say suck it up rookie.

Brady has been listed with a sore shoulder..probable..for more than four years.

I'm a bit nervous about Castillo and Merriman. Those two weren't at 100% when we last played New England. And with New England's MUCH improved array of receiving weapons, that could be a problem. IMO, we need those guys getting into Brady's face all game long.

I think we're pretty healthy, after playing a physical Bears team.

That said, the one player I'm worried about is Merriman. There's no such thing as an Achilles' heel injury. If it is the tendon, it could be a chronic thing.

Shawne is overdue for a monster game, we need it tonight.
