I have some good internet-friends who are diehard Panthers fans. The consensus amongst them regarding John Fox is that he's a good coach but way too conservative and that costs his team more often than not. Today was shining proof of that.
www.orangemane.com/BB/showthread.php?t=109774 Lol, I almost feel bad for them. They probably feel the same way we did in 2006.
Except that they're all so insufferable. Literally, over on my forum all I'm hearing from a solid half of them is "if the refs didn't screw us..."
Somewhere, Art Model is smiling. " The Drive" has finally been over come in fine fashion with the home field loss of the Donks to the former Browns.
They lost in the same round of the playoffs, Te-blow got destroyed in that round, Manning lost in one of the best games of the year. Manning is going into the HOF, Te-blow will be out of the NFL next year
Broncos win total in playoffs last season 1 Broncos win total in playoffs this season 0 No matter how you spin it, they are not the same.
They are exactly the same. This year they were a better team and because of that, they played 1 less game. Both team lost in the same round, and that is all that matters, how far you get. I hate the Broncos, but anyone who defends Tebow over Manning is talking out their ***
You play who is put in front of you. Equating a playoff win by an underdog team (Denver over Pittsburgh) to a loss by the favored team to an underdog team (Baltimore over Denver) is just about the most silly thing I have ever read. If you want to run with that, please do so. But it is a special sort of 'wow' that you elicit....
I am not equating anything other than in round 2, the Broncos lost to the Pats last year and to the Ravens this year. No matter how you spin it, both teams had the same amount of success since they both lost in the same round.
Sorry, but I just LOL'ed. 1 win in the post season does not equate to no wins in the post season no matter how you stack it. The math doesn't lie... I think we will have to agree to disagree before I wake the rest of the house up with my laughing.
Obviously we will just have to agree to disagree. You think the Chargers had a more successful year in 2008 than in 2006 because of the 1 playoff win, I say they had equal success since they both lost in the same round. I don't think what got them there matters when comparing the 2
It's not saying Tebow is better though, it's just making fun of the Broncos because Manning is by far the better QB but didn't win them a playoff game while Tebow, a glorified wildcat QB did. Don't read too much into it.
Well I guess you got me. I DO call a season with more wins a more successful season. In fact I believe everyone else does, which is why success is measured upon the number of wins a team has. Football 101 my friend.
yup, we are the king of the rinky dinks. The best of the losers, the best team to have never won anything. And it sucks to be a Chargers fan right now. But I will never give up, they are still my team as long as they call San Diego home. I bitch, I moan, I scream because before I die I would love to go downtown for a parade in which the very first car has a Lombardi in it! Is that too much to ask for?
