It's pretty obvious to us Rivers watchers out there that something is wrong. Whether it's physical, mental or what I don't know... but I'd like to find out what everyone thinks.
He's finally succumbed to the Norv virus. Also, changed my avatar to reflect said infection. (actually I did it to see if he breaks out of the funk)
What about that medical report having something to do with a strained or torn muscle or ligament in the stomach area? Has anyone investigated that bit of information?
I'm going with injured for now - cause otherwise I'm at a loss to understand. It simply doesn't make sense. Check out this article from Jason LaCanfora on NFL.com, good (?) read. Uncharacteristic play suggests something's not right with Rivers
I cast my vote for too many kids because a friend of mine truly believes it. Since I have no idea what is wrong, I'll go with that. But make no doubts about it, SOMETHING ain't right and if it doesn't get fixed we are in trouble. On the bright side, we are 4-2 with something wrong in our most important player.
its none of the above, rivers is playing ok right now, but when the ball gets tipped up at the line n picked thats not his fault thats the O- Line not gettin the push they should, The receivers should get to the ball n not let it get picked. 2. The receivers are letting alot of balls stay in playing in not playing through the whistle, anytime a nfl wide receiver has a ball hit his hands and he lets it bounce off n get intercepted that again is on him not rivers. Yes rivers had some terrible throws that were straight picks. it happens. But the team is having alot of mental laps. The O-line completely sucks right now, and the receiver dont wanna catch the ball. Bring back legs
Having six kids is tough business. Thats why some cures advocate polygamy. God knows how many kids he will end up with. THe fact he probably takes fathering as seriously as football can be seriously stressfull. Thankfully he isn't like cromartie and he takes both seriously and goes all out but maybe having his own future football team is a little stressful.
"He's not sleeping [may not be appropriate for younger posters] too many kids" I think you left out the most important distraction (in between)
WHat its not the kids keeping him up, Its the amount of effort he puts in every night to have more kids? HAHAHAHAHAHA
Simple. He has a incompetent and gutless head coach calling he's plays. Rivers withstood this for a few years but it finally got him to. He's given up hope on this coach as L.T, and others in the past have................that or he's injured.
I agree. You'd think norv being so incompetent that would have transferred to his daughter but she is smokin hot.
None of the above. Rivers is the only specialist that handles the football on offense that has played every snap. That doesn't excuse his poor play as the guy is off target a lot and making some boneheaded throws that even a blind man can see.
I think I figured out what's wrong with Rivers. The Raiders are fed up with being the worst in the division so....
1. He's injured. Most likely and obvious--he's more squirrely in the pocket than he was his 1st year starting. 2. Conflict with Norv. This is a wild hair. #1 is more likely. But they're not seeing eye to eye in sideline conversations. Possible that Rivers is pissed about going back to running game now that Mathews is heating up. Rivers isn't dumb, but he's not facing the FACT that without Gates, he might need be a top 5 QB. His whining to the refs on plays that were his fault indicates a lack of accountability (no matter the presser bs). Time for Rivers to do a little growing up.
