Yep, they're remaking the old 1972 movie The Poseidon Adventure (now just Poseidon). Remember that movie with Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine, Red Buttons, etc? I know you guys tried to hold your breath during the underwater swimming scene too! Anyhow, this one is set to star Kurt Russell, Richard Dreyfuss, Emmy Rossum, Josh Lucas, Mike Vogel and more.

    NO!

I was joking around with a friend that they would remake that movie. Looks like the joke is on me.

I saw a commercial for this last night. It's a made for TV movie and judging from the commercial, it didn't look to good.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419358/

Personally I thought the original was great and needed NO updating.

Why can't the movie industry just come up with original ideas instead of butchering calssic movies and old TV shows. The new Planet of the Apes was an abomination and the movie version of Starsky & Hutch should never been made.

I'm not going to waste my time watching this turd.
