Just break'n up the current hoopla.... Here's one of a few proud Bolt possession's of mine.... Mint 1960's pennant framed......
I remember having a pennant like that when I was a kid..brings back a lot of good memories. Still have my #55 Seau jersey that I bought the last time I was in SD, about a dozen years ago or so, and a T-shirt and drink cups from the restaurant. Then this past Christmas, my sister got me a necklace, bracelet, and earrings that were made from some kind of Hawaiian nuts (not macadamias) and painted with the Chargers lightning bolts on each individual one. It's a one-of-a-kind set that I hope will bring us lots of luck when I wear it on game days next season.
I'm not taking pictures of all my Chargers swag. Folks might be able to convince me to dig the very first piece of Chargers memorabilia I owned out of the plastic - in plastic because one of the Deadstock Chargers hats that I had a total bit of serendipity with in that I was wearing it and out for dinner in Santa Barbara, where Flutie and his wife were out at the same restaurant and I got him to autograph the hat. But yeah, I've got a ball that's autographed by both Fouts and Rivers (a Fouts autographed ball I bought at a silent auction and had one of my web-scout/writer friends take with him to the Pro Bowl a couple years ago in case he could get Rivers to sign it, which he did). All manner of Chargers blankets, flags, etc. My wife is a Saints fan (I try not to hold it against her even if she is a bandwagoner), so I feel compelled to fill the house with more Chargers gear than Saints stuffs. And our children will be raised as Chargers fan - I have this in writing.
Mike; I have seen your stash of Chargers gear, no one on this site or anywhere else should dare to compare... Pointy
My trainer was an ex Chargers player, a couple of days after Brees left SD, he got me a Chargers Visor that Drew Brees wore in a OTA or camp or something, and had him sign it. Pretty cool considering what Brees ended up being.
These are great ideas for my own man cave eventually. Thanks. All I brought to Delaware was my charger jersey and a mug. Think ill buy a charger flag for game day next year
All joking aside, I have a handful of jerseys (2 Tomlinsons, Brees, Rivers, Gates, Curtis Conway, and Seau that I've misplaced but is likely in my storage somewhere....shame on me). I also have plenty of random paraphernalia such as a key chain, tumbler glasses (courtesy of the naughty santa tailgate in 2009), a Chargers umbrella, jackets, and a bunch of other random Chargers stuff. I don't really have anything hanging on my walls as of right now, but I may alleviate that very soon. Nothing autographed as I don't see the value in autographs unless you get it first hand from the actual player (or if you're just in the business of acquiring autographed items and reselling them). The only time I've had the opportunity to meet a Chargers player I didn't bother thinking about an autograph, but I did shoot the **** with him a bit. (Considering the setting he likely wouldn't have liked being hassled just for an autograph anyway).
Have a bunch of stuff, but this shot with LT and Sugar Shane Mosley is my favorite: I want to try to get it autographed by both of them, that would be pretty nice!
I have loads of stuff, Got my PR 50th anniversary jersey, my Seau throwback jersey. I've got a Rivers and Winslow Plaque. A 50th annivsary shield and a Chargers throwback Pennant
I have entirely too much Chargers stuff lying around the house. My wife likes to joke that I could wear a Charger shirt every day for a month and not wear the same one twice. These 2 are pretty cool though. Gotta love having a signed Mike Scifres jersey! And then the ball has 5 of my favorite players on it: Philip Rivers, Antonio Gates, Donald Butler, Vincent Brown, and Nick Hardwick, yah I know Clary is on there too but I didnt want to make him feel bad lol!
Got 5 LT, 5 Gates (one is a new Nike bought this year) & 4 Rivers jersies. Also have a Seau from way back when the jersies were made by Addidas. Kids have an LT jersey that was passed from one to the other. Both kids have a Rivers and my oldest has a Gates. 4 division champs hats. Also received a mini helmet for being a season ticket holder.
At first glance I seriously thought..... "What the hell is Eli Manning doing in a Charger Powder Blue, along side Katie ?????" Your last name isn't Manning is it Leo ???...scary likeness Man !!!!
The picture is a little over 7 years old. It was right after the Bills game in 2005 at Dave and Busters.
