Never mentions about the chargers having a terrible OL during LT's first 3 years of football. http://www.sportsline.com/spin/story/9851249
that guy is incompetent. sure he mentions welbourn, among some other irrelevant things, but you just cant compare the 2, especially in their first 3 years. roaf and welbourn might be retired, and sampson on IR, but the chiefs still have 2 all-pro OL. thats nothing to laugh at. and thats now, not before with roaf. good lookin out t.
All I have to say is Eric Kay just kept on making excuses on excuses on excuses why LJ is better. He failed to mention that the big change that the Chargers on Offense had was at Left Tackle and that is being filled using a Rookie in Marcus McNeill in that spot so I will use Kays words more impressive in my opinion than his opinion. LT has a Second year Stud in VJ blocking as a Wide Receiver to help LT's cause for the best out there and there is a Rookie QB handing off to LT as well even though Philip Rivers is a third year vet but playing in his first regular season as a pro. So what excuses does LJ have again Why he is better than LT. Eric Kay.
I have to steal a line from the Rock of the WWE to sum up my feelings Who in the blue hell is this little jabroni?
Wow thumper, you were nicer than I was. I told him to eat **** and we know who is the best between the two.
CBS is soooooo east coast bias its not even funny!!!! They finnaly give us the #1 power ranking we deserve, and the guy Pete Prisco admits he does it grudgingly! And then this fruit cake tries to dull down the most amazing season EVER by a running back by saying its because he has a good Oline! Convientiently forgetting what kind of Oline LT had the last 5 years! **** CBS, they have totally lost my respect.
Well, I suppose if you're a sportswriter no one has ever heard of you have to say something controversial to get people to read your column. Kind of a pathetic attempt to be different. LT has produced his whole career without any HOF offensive linemen, without even any pro bowl linemen, to run behind. But now that poor LJ suddenly only has 1 HOF and two pro bowl linemen to run behind, he's suffering? That makes no sense. I would send the guy a reply, but I don't want to give him the satisfaction of knowing I read his drivel.
I see the point he is attempting to make but it almost feels like he is discrediting LT a bit and not giving LT credit for his own accomplishments...he goes on about "personnel" problems that affect LJ but barely mentions and discounts the fact LT is working with a brand new QB... No player on any team "eclipses" LT...as good as that player may be. I didn't like his whole tone towards LT. It seemed pretty dismissive.
I could only get about half way through that joke of an article. It is just some scrub trying to get attention. I somehow doubt that he's going anywhere with this theory. Especially when LT crushes a td record and wins the rushing title and wins MVP. But yeah, he's not having a great season because the Charger O-line has eclipsed the KC line.:icon_huh:
So now Chef fan is crying "bad OLine"...:icon_huh: This after years of telling us that OLines don't matter to a great back...and telling us to stop crying about LT's crappy OLine...:icon_rofl:
Dunno but when I saw the headline I thought LJ= Lamont Jordan...that's how top of mind Larry Johnson is for me :icon_shrug:
He isn't so much a racist as he is a studio gangsta. This article nails it. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=hill/061204 The truth is that Larry Johnson had a bad relationship with Vermeil because Priest Holmes was in front of him on the depth chart. All of the race garbage is just a way for Holmes, a well-off kid from the suburbs, to try to establish some street cred.
Exactly. If KC's line has degraded it is from a very high level. Our improved from an average or perhaps even below average level. The guy is a real tool. I am open to agrument of whether LJ last year was comparable to LT this year because that dude was freaking unstoppable in 05. But to make an argument that LJ is having a better year this year is just ridiculous. Someone always has to swim against the crowd to catch a little attention.
