A hall of famer Dominates the league their whole career, they dont have one great season followed by a handful of solid seasons.

A hall of famer is rarely stopped by another team all together if they face a great team perhaps they are contained but nothing more.

Examples of what I am talking about

Kurt Warner - In my opinion not HOF
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning - Yes

Anotonio Gates and Tony Gongzales - Yes
Jason Witten and Dallas Clark - No

Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher - Yes
AJ Hawk and Teddy Bruschi?????- NO!

Shaun Alaexander and Edgerinn James - Close but no Cigar
    Ladanian Tomlinson- Yes

Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey - Yes
    Ronde Barber - No

The way I see it people are confusing good for a few seasons with Greatness. I just wanted everyone elses take on this. Like I said I know its off topic but I found it interesting that the medias standards have gotten to this level.
