I just wanted to mention that I found out yesterday one of our long-time tailgating guys, Dennis Craze aka boltfanatik passed away from a bout with cancer. Dennis was one of the few that was one of the first to show up at our tailgates and helped to set things up. He was one with a quick wit, and he could talk some Chargers football. If I hear anything else, I will try and pass it along. Boltfanatik, we are going to miss you. You were a good friend. Pointy
So sad to hear that. It never fails that it would take the life of someone who doesn't deserve it. Thank you for sharing the information pointy. R.I.P. Boltfanatik you will definitely be missed by many.
Terrible news .................can't say I knew or even talked to Boltfanatik in my time on the forum, but thats of little consequence, he sounded like a good bloke from Pointy's POV, so thats good enough for me. Way to young, may he rest in peace.
Sad to hear, Didn't know him personally, as the same as I don't personally know any of you. But we all share the same passion and that bond with one another, where I sort of feel I do know many of you. As I remember he always came in with something witty to say. To those of you that did know him and called him a friend, I'm truly sorry for your loss.
Thanks Pointy. I didn't meet him at the tailgates, but he was one of the ones I could count on to get a reference prior to 1975. Any Charger fan that's supported this team for decades gets a moment of silence from me...when they depart before getting that Lombardi. It's comin' Dennis. It's comin'.
Wow.....omg.....I didn't even know he was sick....so sad. He was a great guy., I had some great convo's with him at the tailgates. Rest in peace buddy.
What a damn shame, he was a good guy. We need to keep a list of forum members who have passed so we remember to drink to them when our Bolts finally bring home the Lombardi. We owe it to them.
Sad news . I never know what to say at these, other than it's too bad he had to go before we got a Lombardi. Cancer sucks
RIP fellow Boltfan I don't know if I met him or not @ a 'gater, it's possible. I'll have a cold one in his honor.
This really sucks - Dennis was one a the really great people that I have met in my life and I will miss him. Need to make sure and raise a toast in his memory at the first tailgate this year. RIP Dennis
Y'all could do an eleventh game toast to all the departed Bolt brothers and sisters as in the "Eleventh Hour" of time running out. If it's an away game either forgo it, or choose the 10th or 12th game, I think that would be nice.
My Dad took me to my first game in the late '60s and I am in poor health as it is so this is one of my own fears is getting to witness the Bolts bringing home a Lombardi before I cash in my chips. I imagine that I am not alone in this fear.
Maybe we should toast Dennis and all of the others who have passed before a game at our tailgates. He was always one of the first to be there on Game Day.
Wish you well Walt, hang in there, use that "want for a Lombardi" as inspiration to get through the tough days mate.
Many seasons have come and gone since I became a Bolt fan in the mid 60's. There have been many fun and exciting times, even in loss that kept me coming back. Now you know why I loved viewing your gater pic's, they always brought me home with all the sights, sounds and smells of the game. God I miss it!
Yep and I started in the 70's so I would like the guys to see one before it is there time. My father-in-law is a Lions fan and I am pulling for them to win one before he passes.
oh wow.. So sad to hear. RIP Dennis I think the toast idea is touching. Gosh, didn't even know he was ill.
So sorry to hear, that totally sucks. Thoughts and condolences to friends and family. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Well I am sorry that I am not posting those anymore, I knew how much the out-of-townees like your self enjoyed them. What started out as a mere $220.00 camera with those first pictures turned into a investment of all most $7500.00. And now that I am retired I am taking an advanced photography class so that I can take even better pictures.
