Remeber the last time fans wanted to run a QB out of town when he couldn't win with a horrible OL?

PR isn't going anywhere. Too much money invested in him to trade him while his stock is at an all time low.

No doubt. So until he gets his head on straight, we'll beat the very very worst teams in teams in the league (Chiefs, not Browns), and lose to everyone else.

And you want to add another (sarcastic) brilliant move to the list?

    Good

Now give him a line that actually gives him more than 1.5 seconds to throw the ball.

Leo, you think Rivers has a Super Bowl in him without major reconstruction of this team?

    Hindsight is 20/20.

If you want to make a point make it with a QB who did not have a shoulder injury that could have been a career ender. There is more than OL issues with Rivers. The OL isnt making him scrablem, throw off his back foot, right to the defender. If I didnt know better I would say Rivers was shaving points.

Is this an earnest comment? I'm just wondering because it seems like satire.

He is flushing out at phantom pressure. Watch the next game and tell me he only flushes under pressure. The pick 6 against Tampa he was not pressured. Scrambled and threw the ball straight to the defender. No one was around him.

The OL sucks and is part of the problem but not all the problem.

You're absolutely right, but it's pretty easy to see that the phantom pressure he's feeling is a direct result of all of the REAL pressure he feels due to his line acting like a sieve.

This is where the Head and QB coach put on their shrink caps and Help PR deal with the phantom pressure plays...oh wait that would require a coaching staff that is competent... my mistake.:(

Stupid thread, Brees was scrappy at best here, he was the starting QB, when we got the #1 overall pick to select Eli to trade for Rivers. His injury was on his throwing arm, it is not like he won a couple superbowls prior to that injury, where you might show some loyalty to see how he comes out of that surgical procedure. (For example Tom Brady's knee injury, no question he was coming back) Brees came into his own after going to the Aints.

I remember Brees starting the second half of a game in Denver with a 14 point Bolt's lead. First play after the kick, Brees throw to a wide open Champ Bailey for a pick six and went on to lose the game. There was no pressure on him and no Bolt receiver even close to the play, of course it wasn't Brees' fault he never made a mistake, just ask him or hit fuzzy bean bag buddies.

Not on every play. If you cant see that we can agree to disagree. The OL is part of the problem only.

If Brees played like he is playing today, then we would not be having this conversation. Brees play has improved since he left the Chargers.

Maybe if they hung some tires painted blue and yellow out in one of the practice fields, and just let Philip throw passes from 50 to 80 yards out it might fix the problem...
