Richmond Va Ginas has 5 RB's...maybe you can make a trade

    Then again, you have 6

We only have 11 teams this year?

    I'm pissed! Really pissed!

I knew I wasn't going to be able to make the live draft because of the time it was scheduled, but I had Steven Jackson as one of my keepers. Then I get the draft results, and no Steven Jackson.

Don't think I'm going to participate in this league much this season.

Still not a bad team you have there. Westbrook is no slouch and Parker is pretty good. Good WR's too

When your turn came up and it showed your keeper as Wilie Parker, I really wondered about that :icon_shrug: :icon_huh:

We were supposed to have 3 keepers. We had 3 keepers last season. I told Conc. I shouldn't post anymore in this thread, because the more I think about it, the more pissed I get.

The bad thing is Jackson was my #1 keeper, followed by Westbrook.

And Conc, I'm mad at myself, so don't take this as it's aimed at you.

Whoever wants any of my players, let me know, because I don't think it's fair to tie up players when I'm not really going to be into this.

No but he was hurt a lot last year. I did throw away McGahee and he did pretty well last year. I threw away my whole team and i like this one better.

    Helps having less teams tho.

Not sure why we couldnt get replacement managers. If i had known we only had 11, i would of called for the draft to be later and try to fil those spots to at least 12 to 14 teams if we couldnt get 16.

Yeah, you're right. I'm just pissed right now. I need to stop posting until I get over this. I don't normally over react, but I was actually excited that I was going to have Jackson and Westbrook this season. It already buggered me that the rules were changed (on how many keepers we got) from last season. Jackson was out to injury a lot last year, but I think he's going to have an outstanding year.

Actually i think the key to this league is a good QB and good WR's. You really only need 1 starting RB in this league and you can start 4 WR's ( 1 to play RB/WR)

Last year my QB's sucked( Bulger and switching betweem McCown and other scrubs) and i had mediocre WR's ( Mason, James Jones, Northcut) asside from Burress.

You can have a decent to good RB and one decent to good backup and still do well.

I just noticed we didnt have coaches this year to pick from

WTF? You had Jackson selected as a keeper?

We were set up for 3, after you and others requested it.

OK here is how it is.

Last season, the first keeper season people discovered they had to give up draft picks to get their keepers. So about five owners complained that 3 keepers were too much. I was asked to lower that number this season and did.

Then the other side gets bent because ‘the rules changed’. Rules which are set every season, not carried one year to the next. So they complain (multiple people not just one). So I change it back to please the masses. No one is happy as more people complain. The only thing I found I could rely on is there is always complaints.

Amongst this, entering my 3rd season as comish, I have yet to get through a season without stupid accusations of cheating. This season it started early. Why? Because people are not prepping for the league draft in many cases.

I feel where they are coming from, but e-mails, posts and league manager messages warned of the keeper dead line. Told of the draft. E-mails go out automatically with all setting changes, the system, rightly so, does not allow sneaky deeds by the league managers, it publishes them for all to see. But the owners have to read e–mails or log into the league to see it. If they do not, then they should not expect things to stagnate.

This is not directed at Thumper or anyone in particular. But team owners need to get involved, not just on Sundays or the day of the draft.

We lost a manager late last night. If I had postponed the draft people would be upset. Now some suggest that is what should have happened. Perhaps so, but it didn’t, I used my best judgment.

So be involved or don’t, it is all up to the individual. But next season I will not be running the league. Those vocal proponents for a certain rule set can do that. I am done with it.

Sorry for this soap box rant. Just had to get it off my chest.
