Well I have my birth certificate... but do need to update my passport... I've been meaning to get that done... You have to make appointments at the PO to do that now and there is like a month long waiting list.

Before you just make an appointment, get a copy of the full application. It asks questions about your parents and they're birth/death dates/locations, and some other questions that you typically might need to collect info prior to filling out the form. I had to make a couple phone calls while I was doing it.

They make this **** so much more complicated (and expensive) than it used to be.

One thing I did good was nenew my HAZMAT certification about a month before the new rules hit. Now you have to pay for the Gov't to do background checks on yourself. I don't have to do it until 2010, but do you think I could tell them to just go look in the Army Top Secret Clearance filings and call it even? Nope ... I'll get stuck paying for that stupid **** too.

Ya' know .... BF UK is going to freak out when he wakes up and finds out the Chargers will be playing on his home turf this year.

Do you mean a one month wait to turn in your form?
If so, go to your county clerk's office and do it over the counter. Normal waiting time to receive a new passport varies depending on your state. California is 8-10 weeks, I think?
You can pay a rush fee and get it in two weeks.

I got my passport within 8 days of filing. I chose the expedited filing. It cost me an extra 90 bucks. Well worth it!

I can not begin to describe the unspeakable acts I saw committed by sdbound and DefenseWins while we were in Tennessee. I guess that stuff is legal in Deliverance County, but I had to close my eyes.

Don't ever attend a game with those two. Trust me. I know. I will live with the guilt of knowledge, and the pain of my eyes own mirrors. Unspeakable acts of horror. Unspeakable .....

You are behind a snow storm, that earlier in the day, closed I 15 in northern Utah and southern Idaho. 80 west is still open but requiring chains on semis in some places.

I don't know if you'll be coming through these part in your travels this week but we're expecting snow again on Wednesday and Friday and possibly some snow this weekend too.
