Had lunch with another "blue eyed" friend today... She told me something interesting... It was about the origin of blue eyes. The following is what I understood her to say:

Apparently about 6000 years ago, the first blue eyed person was born in Denmark... Yes, fellow blue eyed people... We ALL started there!!! Well that is if I understand all of this correctly. From what she told me, the blue eyes have resulted from a "defective recessive gene" Two brown eyed people with this recessive "defective" gene gave birth to a blue eyed person... As you already know as time passed on, the gene did too. I'm assuming this gene evolved as well for blue grey, green and hazel colored eyes.

In the past I've thought that the recessive eye color genes were a combination of mutations and thus blue eyed people did not evolve from one common ancestor... :icon_shrug:

I need to do some kind of web search on this... but really found the story my girl friend told me to be quite fascinating.

I think you're noticing the effects of our season being over. Less traffic = faster transfer rates for everybody online.

At the end, when it counted, the Suns absolutely wilted, even after Tim gave the a gift with his 5th foul with time running out. Stodamire couldn't hit the tying free throw, and Manu went down and hit his two FTs.

And of course LT was rooting for the the Spurs. He's jes from right down the road a piece after all :)

Last night, I got me a slightly used hot pink motorola razor phone with a sim card and charger for $50.00 ... :icon_toast:

Gonna switch from Verizon to T-Mobile in May and this new phone is compatable with T-Mobile. I might consider trading in this phone for and even better model when I sign my contract.

****... went into T-Mobile and found out I could get the same phone for $30 after the rebate, if I signed a two year contract... Then I found out that since I was actually going to be joining someone elses plan, that the same deal wouldn't apply... Then I felt a little better.

Thanks Kim... Funny how good some of your cell phone shots can be.

I'm hearing alot of good things about T-Mobile. I also like that you can have five favs (not T-Mobile customers) that you can make free calls to.

Diet update... Weighed in at 135... I'm on target but was hoping to have lost more than 10 pounds during my first month.... I have until March 4th to be 125 pounds and the second 10 pounds won't come off as easily as the first 10 did. I might have to start exercising... :icon_shrug::icon_tease: :icon_shrug:

Going to a SB party today... It's going to be brutal trying to stay on my diet.:icon_shrug: I might slip, just a little today. :bolt::bolt:

Oh and DW, the cleanse wasn't too bad... It's not a colonic like you might be thinking....

OMG, we are getting sooo much f***ing snow this year that I can't stand it.

That day itself was good. My '85 Bears 18-1 record has not been broken. The Giants really outplayed the Pats. It was great to see Brady off his game as well. :icon_mrgreen:

Yet, I do feel kind of sorry for some of our nicer Pats fans, Buck Blincoe, being one of them. :icon_shrug:

PS: I blew my diet big time today...

Yes, the version by Kenny Chesney.

Foxys is a place on Jost Van **** in the BVI. I've heard of them, but have not visited there.

It seems Kenny likes to go there, and longs to go there in his songs...

    180 people divided by 12 bars= a dang good time:tup:

Thanks for the pics and the linky.

I love how they tax your *** for leaving the island:

DEPARTURE TAX: A departure tax is levied at the rate of $10.00 per person leaving by air, $5.00 leaving by sea and $7.00 for cruise ship passengers.

That's funny the way it sounds on Foxy's site. There is only one way to and from Jost, by boat.

The tax refers to the BVI. It's not so much the tax as it is the amount of time it takes to clear customs and immigration. If you island hop it gets real old. I would never recommend skipping customs :innocent: just because the Bartender Olympics are the next day on St. Croix.

    Couples golf is always fun!

A husband reluctantly agreed to play in the couples' alternate shot tournament at his club. He teed off on the first hole, a par four, and blistered a drive 300 yards down the middle of the fairway. Upon reaching the ball, the husband said to his wife "Just hit it toward the green, anywhere around there will be fine."
The wife proceeded to shank the ball deep into the woods. Undaunted, the husband said "That's OK, Sweetheart" and spent the full five minutes looking for the ball. He found it just in time, but in a horrible position. He played the shot of his life to get the ball within two feet of the hole. He told his wife to knock the ball in.
His wife then proceeded to knock the ball off the green and into a bunker.

Still maintaining composure, the husband summoned all of his skill and holed the shot from the bunker. He took the ball out of the hole and, while walking off the green, put his arm around his wife and calmly said, "Honey, that was a bogey, and that's OK, but I think we can do better on the next hole."

    To which she replied, "Listen a-hole, don't b i t c h at me, only 2 of those 5 shots were mine."
