I just got pulled over by the La Vernia City Police. A Detective even ....

My farm pickup is due (overdue) for an annual State Inspection. The wife has been bugging me about that. I always forget when I'm in town. I had the registration and insurance card .... but my driver's license was in my semi (where it STAYS) because it's a huge fine to drive a commercial vehicle without a license and I know sooner or later I'll forget it if I take it out of the truck. I have the number memorized.

The officer did all his checking, saw I'm clean and gave my a verbal warning - in a nice South Texas fashion. "Get your inspection next week, and you might want to carry your driver's license." "Yes Sir" I said .....

No ticket. No bullet holes.
