I have been a Chargers fan since '79. We will never win a championship until we get a new QB.

    Draft needs for 2013;
    1)QB
    2)CB
    3)OL

Also we need a new coach and a new GM. AJ has had some good drafts but he has traded away 3 super bowl rings from 2 QBs.

Don't know what happened to Rivers but he's no longer clutch and has no mental toughness.

I've stuck up for Rivers for a while...last season had me question my opinion of him and this season and this game have me thinking the same.

He has become a liability more than an asset now, which is almost sad to say.

I think Rivers has been hampered by a sub par offensive line. With that said, he is melting down when the game is on the line. He is not an elite QB sorry to say...he is more like a loud mouth Cutler. Although Cutler has a better long ball.

I want an apology from every one of you that were giving me schitt when I said Phil was done...Charlie would have been the better qb tonight.

Dude you are just reading Oz's schitt. I have NEVER said hester was anything more than a good ST'er. All I said is that he was a decent chip blocker and knew our system, Oz turned it into something way different. -- You have to see what Charlie can do, what Phil is doing is absolutely horrible. Going back to last season, it's been ALL bad. I think Charlies mobility would open things up. You can't let players continually lose games without any punishment.

Alright, fair enough on Hester. We saw Whitehurst in Seattle: He stinks. Honestly think Rivers is a better option. Just not sure that Rivers is a long term sustainable QB at this point. He is ****** in the head, that much is clear.

I still do, but as far as QB'ing goes Brees would never have lasted if he even made a team before all the QB friendly rules. Todays game is just a watered down version, but you can glorify Brees if you wish, I don't.

Maybe a week or so on the bench will help him clear it.

No reason to give away games to the Browns and Chiefs.

Run the ball and set up some play action bootleg passes with Charlie. I am not kidding man, I think change right now would go well.

No way, you can't bench PR you'd just devalue him more.

If we trade him I believe we could easily at the absolute minimum get a 1st and 3rd, probably two firsts from the right team. You think a team like Buffalo or Arizona wouldn't kill to take that chance?

Maybe if he shits the bed in Denver, bench his *** against Baltimore. But then the Bolts beat Baltimore last year when
          1. Baltimore was a helluva lot more healthy than this year
          2. The Chargers D was even worse than it is now

But there's no reason to give crap teams an advantage by playing Whitehurst. Doesn't make sense.

HAHAHAHAHA, I love the stupidity of the QB situation on this MB. Why is it that your favorite QB, Insert name _____________ can do no wrong but when something bad happens it always someone else fault? Y'all full of shyte and I see it more and more each week.

Rivers! It blows my mind how this guy has become so below average. I defended him last year and thought if we protected him a little better he would get back to his normal self. Not so. Somewhere in the last couple of years Rivers has forgotten the most important thing a QB has to do. Protecting the ball. He did not try and force everything. The guy seems to think that a receiver will magicaly be magnatized to his passes no matter how many guys are covering them. His arm is not even close to what it used to be and all of a sudden his accuracy is shot as well. The tragic thing is, that the rest of the team I feel is getting a lot better for the most part. All these new and improved players and a turnover machine at the QB position. Stinks!!! There is no excuse for Rivers poor play. Take a sack. Throw it away. Check down pass. Anything but desperate chin passes to who know who and throw up prayers that defenders are licking thier chops for now. My only question now is.....now what?

Not a chance. At this point Rivers is just a name. He hasn't had solid production since '10, he's hit his ceiling and is now on his way down. Both the cards and bills o line is worse than ours, Frankenstein would be a dead man.

            Okay what about San Fran?

Whatever the case I vote test the trade market before you just bench him, after you bench him for Whitehurst not even his name value will remain.

I am not sayings disagree, I am just saying it isn't gonna happen. Good qbs have gotten benched in the past,it needs to happen. He's single handedly losing games for us one way or another.

Alex had one bad game, otherwise he's looked way better than Phil. Outside of his blunder on Sunday, he's taken care of the ball very well and has made some throws that people swore he wasn't capable of...rivers value is low bc everyone is seeing his immobility and lack of ability to make a quick read/decision to get the ball out fast. If you can't move, and can't diagnose and react quickly as a qb in the nfl, you will fail.
