You can't honestly believe that Whitehurst is a better QB than rivers. Did he lose the NO game? What would have happened last night if we ran 3 times from Denvers 33 and kicked a field goal and kick off to Broncos? If we were 5-1 which we would be if Ditka was our 2nd half coach would you say Whitehurst is a better QB?
My point was that all Whitehurst had to do was no turn the ball over 6 times like Rivers did, and we would've won the game. Surely, even Clipboard Jesus would've been capable of that.
Our discussion originated with the bench Rivers comments. If you bench Rivers, you get Whitehurst for a full game. Maybe you're arguing that Norv should have benched Whitehurst when the score was 24-14? Or 24-21? Unsure what your real point is. But if you think Whitehurst should start against the Browns, say it.
