    1) There are no rules governing the giving or receiving of positive or neagtive reputation at BotlTalk.com.

    2) The individual posters themselves have the right to give or with hold reputation as they see fit. The individual themselves are the final authority to decide what is and what is not rep worthy.

    3) The reputation messages should be treated as a post. Foul/insulting or abusive language will not be tolerated.

    4) Any complaints about reputaion messages should be forwarded to your friendly neighborhood moderator or admin.

    5) Any issues with reputations useage should be attempted to be worked out between the users in PM (keep it clean) first.

Enjoy, and use it well. Reputation is an extension of you and your opinions, use it that frame of mind. Let it represent you well.

The first rule of Fight Club is that you do not talk about Fight Club.

Before you write down a rule, don't you have to talk about not talking about having a rule that says you don't talk about it?

    Hey, I have an idea.

If you have given out too much rep in the last 24 hours... is there anyway to remove the scales at the top of the posts until the 24 hours has passed? :icon_shrug:

You'll know if you have reps available if you see the scales.

This is not an option of the software. I do not have the funds to hire someone to custome program this for us, plus it would need to be re-done everytime we upgrade to a newer version of the software.

I can request this as a feature in future releases, but at this point, the answer is no.

To take my great idea to the next level...

    1. the scales will be removed from all posts until the 24 hours since your last rep has passed.

    2. If it's too early to re rep someone the scales will be of a different color, like a grey or something... It doesn't have to be bold and stand out... just enough you'll know that you can't re rep that person just yet.

It will be kind of cool as you rep the person, you'll see the scales go from white to grey, indicating that the rep actually was successful and you'll now need to rep others before you can get back to that person.

I know that his will be a little retro of a thing.

How about the red circle with the diagonal line over the Scales that says that you cannot rep anymore people for the 24 hour day limit.

When you see the scales then you can rep again with out the red circle with the Diagonal line over it after the 24 hour day limit.

I like carries idea but one thing that might get in the way is people that are color blind like my mother is she can not see all that well even things that have various shades she sees things with the same value but it could work though.

I do like the idea of the red circle and diagonal line over the rep during the 24 hour waiting period.

I do appreciate the fact that some people are color blind. The grey vs. white coloring of the scales would not be much use to them.

This is what I mean about the red cicle with the diagonal line when it is over the scales thing: [IMG]

That is the example that I was talking about or what is called the not sign or no sign that would be over the scales.

    I hope that will help.
