On my phone so can't post the link but examiner has the first article. RM knocked some joker right the **** out! From the little bit I read, I won't hate on him for this. Sounds like the punks initiated and he threw one punch. Very interested to hear the full story...

I'm surprised it took this long with all the grief this kid has taken. Everyone has that breaking point.

We jinxed ourselves. I think I saw about 53 posts about how the Chargers haven't had anyone arrested in 2 years in all the Chargers related fan mediums I am connected to.

Maybe not arrested but was he involved in an altercation?

Rumor has it was he had a drink in his hand and it slipped out and spilled on someone. ;)

Before Gelkhen reported that RM hadn't been arrested... Chris Ello was going on about how based on all the texts, tweets and emails they're getting from listeners RM's out drinking all the time and that his opinion is RM's likely an alcoholic and that the chargers should be helping get him in to rehab or cut him.

Had the initial story been true I'd still high-five RM for knocking a punk out cold. Reportedly it was 4 on 2 and the 4 instigated it. IMO if you start a fight with someone and you lose, you're not a victim.

He cant be an alcoholic. If he cant hold the football what makes anyone think he could hold his liquor?

I also know for a fact (according to tweets and texts) that Ryan Mathews was NOT on the International Space Station last night.
    I can't wait for camp to start...:bolt2:

“I don’t know how my name got twisted in all this (stuff),” Mathews said. “I don’t know why my name is even being brought up. ... I didn’t hit anybody. I wasn’t arrested. ... I didn’t see a fight. I didn’t see anything.”

I always said his vision was a problem. ;)

    Alcoholic?, seriously......................?

A 25 yr old lad with money likes to go out drink & (I expect) meet beautiful women.... that's to be expected no, but an alcoholic? now that would be a surprise to me.

These high profile football players need to stay down and stay outta the F'n clubs....
It's almost a sure thing some belligerent knucklehead is gonna get loose and wanna throw down....
    When will they ever learn....
Stay the F home already.....the trouble ain't worth it.

Can this guy get his focus on HOLDING the football instead of his drinks. I guess the late night club partyin wasn't entirely cleaned out with the old regime. Ship him to Denver he keeps this up.

Yeah because no player should be out of their house during the off season. Hell I know, lock them all up at Chargers Park and feed them only bread and water because hypocritical fans might think that a player should have no social or family life outside of football.... I hope my contempt for your asinine statement does not overly cloud the response...

He's 25. It's weeks from minicamp. He was at a club, completely uninvolved in any altercation. He did nothing wrong. Period.

And for those taking cheap shots on RM's fumbling. He fumbled twice last year, once in his last 11 games. He has shown improvement on his fumbling. Now he just needs to stay healthy and be given some holes to run through.

Twice! TWICE! Hell, that should have cost him both hands! Drag him over broken glass and through a puddle of lemon juice!

Yes, because that's what makes great football players. All the great running backs in NFL history were felons, after all.

If he was standing up for his girl because some dumbass drunk was over the edge does not a felon make.
