I think he's the stud LB in this draft....he's a more athletic Lofa Tatupu....where do you have him rated??
I just posted my top 50 in another thread and then saw your question to SD Ron. I have Mayo at #43 on my top 50 list.
hey 24, here's my current... ILB's... rd 1 D.Conner, 6-3 232 4.67, PennSt. (OLB) rd 2 P.Wheeler, 6-2 235 4.63, Geo.Tech J.Mayo, 6-1 235 4.67, Tennessee C.Lofton, 6-0 238 4.73, Oklahoma rd 3 T.Gooden, 6-2 235 4.50 Miami B.Moffitt, 6-2 245 4.69, So.Florida - "my boy" ... but THE STUD LB in this draft is Quentin...
I don't disagree with QG, but he's really only a 3-4 OLB, which I have an aversion to. They only work in one scheme, see Chad Brown and Joey Porter in conventional 4-3 schemes.
I'm not much of a Conner fan, and I read his Pro Day wasn't all that... he ran closer to 5 than 4... he's likely to drop out of the first (if he was in it at all)... so, you think your boy will be first off the board for ILB... I know I was impressed by Wheeler,... he can play... but heck, I got "my boy" Waters last year - waiting to see him kick some arse this year...
