Server Upgrade coming soon.

I don't have the exact date yet, but it's coming very soon. We might have some down time, but I don't expect it to be as long as it's been in the past. I will keep you updated as soon as I know more, but this upgrade will most likely be within the next week or two. :yes:

OK, I have a tenative date for the server upgrade. The forum will be moved starting 11pm PDT Wednesday night and should be up and running on the new server by 6am PDT Thursday morning. The forum will not be available during that time.

Please keep in mind that DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate to everyone. You might not have access to the forum until your particular DNS server updates with the new server information. Usually it's much quicker than that though, but it can take that long.

We had originally planned to do some updates and make some changes in the design of the website when we changed servers, but unfortunately we're not able to do that this time. We will be introducing some design changes in the near future though.

Just a reminder, the forum will be down begining tomorrow at 11pm pdt.

There won't be a temporary forum because I've planned this to have the least amount of down time and setting up a temporary forum will take additional time and add to the total downtime.

If all goes as planned, the forum will go down at 11pm pdt and be up sometime before 6am pdt. Yep I'm pulling an all nighter to get this done and have this forum back up and running.

If things don't go as planned, I will revert to how it is now, so either way it should be back up in the morning. Although, I don't expect there to be any hangups.

There were a few hang ups, but overall it wasn't too bad. It will take sometime for the DNS settings to propagate through the internet.

You can check if your DNS already has the new server information. If you click on forums in the top menu and it flashes another screen before coming back to the forum, your DNS has not been updated yet.

I was also able to upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin.

It should be. It's on a cluster server now.

I think that broke my vBookie hacks I made to the system to import the lines.

I will take a look when I have some time, but for now, there will not be any new lines put up.

I once forgot to change my user title... Switched my avatar to a picture of myself... with the title "Mr Big Nuts knocked me up"

Ok, I'll look into this when I have a chance. Should be able to check it out sometime in the next day or so. Let me know if you have any other problems. I know of a few others, but those probs shouldn't affect most members.
