since we're 4-4

and this team is getting old and falling to crap, whose up for going 4-12 and actually getting a player to upgrade our team

i know thats how it seems, but i mean damn, i dont see anyone weve drafted in the past 5 years, that was a 1st round pick that has been a major improvement, i was jw on the thoughts on purposely tanking this season

you can't say that there ALL busts.. we've drafted well.. drafts are really hits or misses.. lucky and unlucky..

i never said all was, i was just saying that i havent seen a immediate starter in the first round for us. it just seems like we miss to much in the first round. English= bust. Buster=davis bust. Merriman= semi bust, castillo= semi bust, Cason= semi bust, Cromartie = semi bust, philip rivers=even with his poor performance Hit, Sammy davis= bust, Ladainian Tomlinson= hit.. idk why we cant get that one player that could turn this team into a true winner

Castillo is not a bust.. he had some a very good year in 05, 06, and 07.. he struggled with injuries.. but he is still a great player.. gets pressure makes good tackles.. surely and upgrade to Martin..

Cason isn't a bust I don't think.. this is his worst year from his previous 3.. where he was very good as well

i like castillo, but i think hes a semi bust, while hes not a full on bust that just stunk up the place, he was never consistent, after his first 2 seasons, and im sorry Cason is a bust,- he was a 1st round pick, and hes best to play a nickel corner, bust.

Merriman wasn't a bust either, 39.5 sacks for this team, I don't care how many seasons it was, he contributed large when healthy.....and roided out.

but he didnt stay consistent, he was a quick fix who never lasted

Why in a hypothetical situation would you want the Chargers to lose out? Why not get creative and say they win out and hell win the whole thing.

Because of this reason, Every year we do the same damn thing and finish strong when our team isnt that strong, we have alot of weak spots, but because where we're drafting we arent getting the people we need. mostly do to norv and aj being complete retards. I'm mostly concerned with getting Manti Te'o, he is the future

I agree. Especially because there isn't a high probability that AJ will hit on the pick anyway, be it 6th or 26th.
Also, if you have a bunch of players on your team that will lose when you tell them to, you have problems beyond the next draft.

i just think it would give us a better chance, i dont trust aj drafting skills, but being higher might help him

If you don't trust AJ's drafting skills what makes you think he'd get the right guy in the top 5 anymore than he would in the middle?

i want a superbowl, i just dont see it happening right now, the coaching is awful, and the players arent playing like they want to win. i was just saying maybe if we get a great player he can become a leader and turn the team in the right direction, like ndamkong suh did for the lions.
