Don't worry. If we don't win it all I'm sure someone will come here and say, "See! All we have to show for this is a later first round pick!!!!!!!"

I'd trade dead last in the draft for a Bolts Lombardi victory every day of the week and thrice on Sunday.

Don't agree. Even if they don't win it all this year, the playoff experience for coaches and players is invaluable. So yeah, no one is satisfied unless we raise the Lombardi. But the success were enjoying the last month and a half is far from meaningless.

"Unless we win it all, it was all just a waste."

Does that sum up the detractors' sentiments well enough? ;)

what a crappy experience you must have as a sports fan.

I don't know if the 1993 is your birth year or the year you became a chargers fan but if it's the latter can you tell me that you didn't enjoy the 1994 AFC championship win for example?

I'm enjoying the ride - besides it's not where you draft, it's who you draft.

Our first three picks from last year were on the field most of the game yesterday.

I think Tom T has earned some space.

I was born i 1993. But in all sports i view winning as the most important thing. Go big or go home. Dont get me wrong i love seeing us win. But going t the playoffs and losing is disappointing. Losing isnt acceptable. If we wn the superbowl i will most likely cry. But if we lose and when the draf comes we dont ge dennard, nix, beasley, michael sam, or jason varrett. To better this team to win. Then i was a waste of time. I want us to dominate at both ends of the Ball. I want glory. Im tired of the chargers being mocked. I hate it.

I was a little concerned about screwing up our draft spot, But this is way more fun than an early draft pick.

Said it when we were 5-7, I think what's best for this young Telesco/McCoy regime that we all want to see succeed is wins, early and often.

Rooting for draft position is what frustrated fans do at the backside of a dieing regime, when change is sure to come.

I was getting pissed about our draft pick if we would of ended up 8-8. But I already created a crow thread that covers all aspects of my groveling. :p

It could be worse - we could have a sh#tty record, and no draft pick (like the Redskins!)

Rams made out like bandits didn't they? Haha

That's part of the advantage of having a high pick an not needing a QB, a trade can set you up for a long time. They found themselves in the perfect spot at the perfect time.

We didn't do so badly for ourselves back in 2004 either! I still remember back then that a lot of fans and local sport radio personalities were vying for drafting Robert Gallery at No. 1, but thank goodness that AJerk never had the propensity for drafting an O-Lineman in the first!

Well that depends on RG3 moving forward. He did take the same team to the playoffs last year before getting hurt.

It was A LOT to give up though.

Nobody talks about it, but could you imagine having drafted Fitzgerald to be Brees' #1 receiver? Wow.

Of course Brees had been bad enough early that a QB was considered a higher priority, but in the land of hindsight...

Honey, I hate to break it to you but the majority of your relevant fan experience with the Chargers has been during a golden age. You have no clue what losing is really like (and I hope you never do) it's been 50 years since our last championship and 20 since our last trip to the big dance. The last decade has been pretty damn fun more often than not, with some bits of crap thrown in to keep us humble. The highs are nothing to be ashamed of or taken for granted, trust me.

Listen to the pretty lady, charger1993.

My first 10 seasons of being a Charger fan ('69-78)

    54 wins, 67 losses, 5 ties. (44.8%)

    0 playoff games.

My entire childhood I never saw the Chargers reach the playoffs.

The last decade of Charger history is the most winning by a mile.

    100 wins, 60 losses. (62.5%)

10 playoff games! (11, if we win Sunday)

Hey, zero editorializing here, but if you find this era of Charger

football so painful (never mind our 0 for 47 Super Bowl record)
that you truly "hate" it…well, there are teams out there, like the

Steelers, 49ers and Cowboys that have 5 or 6 Lombardi trophies.
People who've been with this club for the long haul can tell you
what it's like to endure a decade at a time of not being competitive.
It sucks. By comparison, the last decade has been the land of milk & honey.
