This deserved a thread of its own. South Africa drew nil nil with Sierra Leone over the the weekend and in doing so thought they had done enough to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations Finals. They finished level on points with Niger in their group and assumed they had won the group on the strenght of a better goal difference. However the rules state that in the event two teams finished level on points the winner would be the team with the better head to head record, which in this case was Niger. So you will see the South Africa players and fans singing and dancing their heads off on the attached. Must have been a bit of a shock when someone told them. Hate that!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL8uIgRZ_yM&feature=player_embedded
