Virginia Tech DB Likes Money - Student Body Shocked!

A reader sent this to The Big Lead, who forwarded it to me, to show you.*

This pile of cash to my left (your right) comes courtesy of the website for Virginia Tech’s student newspaper, The Collegiate Times.

The picture is from Killer’s front man Hokies’ junior cornerback, Brandon Flowers’ Facebook page. In case you think this is a magic eye poster, the picture shows a large amount of money and a small baggie that may or may not contain something.

There’s also a shoe and a knee. This leads me to believe that there were people around when this photograph was taken. Keen observations like that are what got me this sweet weekend gig.

The caption on Flowers’ profile reads:

“Dis How Palm Beach County Dope Boiz Get Down Baaaaabeh Every day N***** Hustlin.”

I added the asterisks on my own, but the egregious misspelling of “baby” was already there.

Flowers’ is from Palm Beach County and claims that the picture is a friend’s.

A couple more choice selections from The Collegiate Times after the jump…Flowers denied taking the photo and said, “he posted it because he liked the look of all the cash.” Well, who doesn’t? I have more than 3 dollars in loose change spread across my living room floor as I type.

“The denominations of the bills appear to be mostly 20s, but there are 50s and 100s as well. The sum of the cash is impossible to calculate because the bills are not organized, strewn randomly on the floor, but one row of cash has more than 40 twenty dollar bills.”

Why - that’s *counting fingers* over a thousand dollars!? Yup, that’s got to be the right amount.

I have to say that this is a suspicious amount of cash to have scattered around the apartment/dorm/home. I know my friends and I never had that kind of cash around when we were college students.

It would have been sweet if we did though. Instead of drinking Eagle and Hurricane 40’s we would have been rocking OE and Colt 45’s. Man that would have been magical.

I never wanted Flowers but I'm not concerned with that. 80% of the black draft prospects put stuff like that in their myspaces.
