When the next press guy prints how much SD is currently under the cap, my bet is LESS than $5 million (and maybe only $2-3 mill).

AJ has spent a TON of money extending our young talent.

But, some people would rather pine and whine for overrated and overpriced FA's that kill a team's cap.

No, he listed guys AJ should look at. That list is all trash. Just names that are semi-recognizable - but still trash.

LOL...Right we're gonna have Elliott on the practice squad as our third QB all season??

Please!...If AJ plans on letting that happen, fire him today

Um, no. If we get anothe QB he will trade for one and he should. Whitehurst isnt near ready to be a backup. I meant he wont get a QB from this list:

1)Pickett - Like his toughness and arm strength; has timing and touch on short and intermediate routes
2)Ragone - Another strong arm with quick release and good composure
3)McPherson - Talent is there but more of a project and slightly injured
    4)Lefors - His height is a major issue, I don't like short QB's
5)McMahon - Great QB for the West Coast offense, he needs to be on someone's roster who uses that offense

All those guys SUCK and have no experience other than McMahan who is just plain horrible. You have "Great" by his name which is a joke imo.....even if you meant he would be great for WCO. I disagree, he would be great for the CFL....maybe.

    I agree.

If they do want Volek, it's possible the trade wouldn't occur until after we play Tennessee. Why would Fischer and GM Floyd Reese want to hand over the QB that:

    1. Is most ready to play for them
    2. Could help us with insight into the Titans offense

Trading Volek after week 2 stops SD from learning about the Titans scheme and gives Collins 2 extra weeks to learn their offense before he becomes the starter and "mentor" to Vince Young.

Yah fugg Cleveland are a bunch of retards for cutting Oshinowo he played VERY well in the preseason he had 2 sacks and one of them was nice, and he made a couple nice tackles and held his ground. He's not NFL material yet but jeebus with the performance he had he should be on a PS at least.

BTW my boy JON SCOTT made the Lions roster over Kelly Butler!!!

OK Moron...1st of all you need to read more carefully because the post is in regards to finding a replacement and the list was of the GUYS CUT and part of it says... unless they trade...for Volek I never said that signing one of those was the preferred route?...DID I...NO...OK Slowly now so you can understand what I'm saying now the preferrred route would, of course, BE 2 TRADE for VOLEK...comprende...and thats what will probably happen

BUT, once again, since you are so slow...the point was if we can't trade for someone who would we sign to our roster or practice squad in the meantime...got it yet rocket scientist

My list was the top 5 of the players cut...If you don't like the playeres, genius, you can't just waive a magic wand and create one

And any scout would tell you McMahon would be an adequate starter in the west coast offense..."Great QB for the west coast offense" is not what I meant it's EXACTLY WHAT I SAID

    DUH!!

I am not sure who you think is pining or whining. But I can say some quality depth on the OL would not be 'overrated and overpriced'in my book. Maybe we are watching different teams.

Chargers | Team tried to sign Collins
      Sun, 3 Sep 2006 08:05:15 -0700

Jim Trotter, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports the San Diego Chargers were one of two finalists in the running to sign QB Kerry Collins before he inked with the Tennessee Titans. San Diego was nosed out at the tape when Tennessee offered something San Diego would not, namely a chance for playing time.

      Chargers | Gordon undergoes surgery
      Sun, 3 Sep 2006 08:02:48 -0700

Steve Scholfield, of the North County Times, reports San Diego Chargers CB/PR Cletis Gordon (wrist) had surgery on his wrist after Friday's preseason contest, Sept. 1, with San Francisco and may not be available for the team's regular season opener. If he can't go, WR Eric Parker and RB Michael Turner will return kicks and punts.

Chargers | Fast fact: QBs have no NFL starts
      Sun, 3 Sep 2006 08:17:36 -0700

Jim Trotter, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports the San Diego Chargers are the only team in the league that doesn't have a quarterback who has started an NFL game.

Chargers | Still a chance Volek winds up in San Diego
      Sun, 3 Sep 2006 08:08:26 -0700

Jim Trotter, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports the San Diego Chargers are still pursuing Tennessee Titans QB Billy Volek. The Chargers nearly pursued Volek two seasons ago, but they decided to build the QB position through the draft. Volek is a California native who attended Fresno State. He has some control of his situation because his contract contains a no-trade clause. But if he tries to play hardball he could end up being stuck where he doesn't want to be, at the bottom of the Titans' depth chart.

Awesome. You've called someone a moron before your 10th post. You will be a great addition to the board.

I caught the part where it said " unless they trade for Volek"...which is why i mentioned him. I never said that YOU said those others were the perfered route but i AM saying that all those other guys SUCK and we wont sign one of those guys if we dont get Volek....comprende?

There isnt a scout out there that will use the words "McMahan" and "Start" in the same sentence. There are WCO offenses out there and i dont see those teams trying to acquire McMahan who was just cut from his 3rd team as the 3rd string QB.

Learn how to rebuttle your takes a little better skippy.
Only Trumpy is allowed to do name calling

I liked it...I thought listing all the QB's cut at the start of my post would make it idiot proof, but some clowns can't follow a st8 line

Be prepared for it when you rip on a post w/o any logic...If you're too dumb to understand it move on
