Dwayne allen . 4.84
Michael Egnew. 4.53
Ladarius Green. 4.48
Green shouldn't even count as a TE, the man is a WR. If there is a JerMichael Finley in this class its gonna be Green.
i agree, this dude had the second fastest 40 time for a TE the only person who was faster was james hanna with a 4.42... green is my man. green or allen in this draft please
What do you guys think of DeAngelo Peterson? Thought he looked quite good in the drills today.
he seems like a good player, hes more of a wide receiver height, but hes a good 5th rounder lol
Well I havent realy watched much of todays players, BUT holy Sweet BEANS!! We got 10 recievers this year that are running SUB 4.40. I want a new toy!! Were going to get one!! Its gonna be sweet.
Although I got the feeling were probably gonna get DBowe'd again. Or well take what we got over a Anthony Gonzalez.
I prefer bigger TEs. A TE does not have to have world class speed, just be able to jump and get their big bodies in between the ball and the defender.
thats just it, Green is one of the taller TE's But one of the fastest
Michael Floyd wowed me a little. I expected 4.6 range for him, not 4.4
yea i was thinking the same, but my biggest surprise was Stephen hill, i really hope we can get him for a deep threat, 4.3
He's an intriguing prospect, very high upside, clearly has all the physical skills, but like all GT recievers you have to wonder if he can run anything other than a 7, 8, and 9 routes.
I don't think he' gets out of he 2nd round, someone will bite on that size/speed combo.
i personally want him in the second if we lose VJ, i mean hes vj size but with speed and good hands, hes a gamble youre right he could be calvin johnson or a flip flor wide receiver like demetrius thomas
I think the VJ comparison is fair. I remember VJ weighed in at 240, ran about a 4.45, and jumped in the 40' range, and as a nice cherry on top got a 33 on the wonderlic. He was also a kick returner in college, a workout warrior if you ever saw one.
Given our other issues, it'd be hard for me to pull the trigger on such a raw prospect in the 2nd.
u got to admit its an AJ type pick
AJ loves his workout warriors in the 2nd round, and if you look back its worked out pretty well Marcus McNeill, Vincent Jackson, Eric Weddle, IMO I think Drayton Florence was a solid 2nd round pick, with the exception of Igor (also an extreme workout warrior) AJ hit rate has been solid on his 2nd round risks.
And Castillo was a workout monster too (steroids?), and he was technically our 2nd pick in that draft behind Shawne Merriman (steroids?). Cromartie too was a physical freak. So you have a very valid point, AJ is clearly swayed by measurables.
i totally agree, i pray we get this kid he could be a great weapon for rivers, speed and size its like having a calvin johnson
That said I have no ******* idea what he was thinking with Larry English. Short arms, average/undersized, 4.79 40, played at a small school.....
he was thinking he had 30 some sacks in college he has to be good, not to factor in he played schools the size of a regular preschool
Green has been my TE of choice for awhile now. That 40 is going to send him up the draft boards higher than I was hoping to nab him though.
yea i agree, if green is gone, i hope we snag michael egnew
