    Very true.

Trading a bonafide ace-Cy Young winning-All Star starter-face of the franchise for a few scrubs/prospects is the worst idea ever.

This will not better the team.

I see it as a pure salary dump.

All the fans I know HATE this trade. Many are thinking of seriously NOT renewing their season tickets. Even long-time ticketholders.

    This sucks.:icon_sad:

The band Stepanian played their hit song "Criminal" on ESPN's Web Gems: Baseball Tonight's Defensive Plays of the Year. Eric Stepanian's father Bob is a friend of mine from Special Forces back in the day.

    The band's website is

Not while I'm doing the rotation, but I sure love the three days off in a row. I'd rather do 4 10s than 3 12s though... Anything more than 10 hours is a killer for me.

The Government is talking about going to that schedule.

They say it is relieve the amount of cars on the road, but with the amount of work we have, we are going to have to work overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. When is the amount of cars going to be reduced?

This is kind of weird... I'm a dissenting Catholic. Although I own a few rosaries I haven't really used them for prayer for a long time. ... Well, I've been going through a hard time lately and while packing for a trip a few weeks ago, I threw a rosary (unchained at one link) into my purse. I had every intention of taking it somewhere and having it repaired but never got around to it. Unfortunately I didn't pray on it either but felt a comfort knowing it was there.

Alina pulled the rosary out of my purse today and was playing with it. It was all tangled from being in the purse. The interesting part was the rosary was now in one piece. I cannot find the previous break in the chain...

While I was going through my divorce I threw a rosary in my purse, just to have it there. (This rosary as well as the rosary that "repaired itself" were blessed in Medjugorie) About a month later I looked at the rosary to see that all the links had turned gold. If you don't know the significance of that, you can google it.

Both of these incidents kind of give me a special feeling that no matter how bad things get... (and they aren't all that terrible) there is still someone there for me.

    Job application-

A young man sees a card advertising for a Gynecologist’s Assistant.
Interested, he goes to learn more - 'Can you give me some more details?' he asks the clerk.
The clerk pulls up the file and says, 'The job entails getting the ladies ready for the gynecologist.
You have to help them out of their underwear, lay them down and carefully wash their private regions, then apply shaving foam and gently shave off the hair, then rub in soothing oils so that they're ready for the gynecologist’s examination.
There's an annual salary of $45,000, but you're going to have to go to Oxford, Mississippi. That's about 620 miles from here.'
'Oh, is that where the job is?'
'No sir - that's where the end of the application line is right now.'

    WOW, Carrie...........that is amazing.

I guess you could call me a 'dissenting' Catholic too. I have too many political disagreements with the Church to be a practicing member, but I do know that the Lord does work in mysterious ways and find your story very credible. Who says there are no miracles anymore?
