h8ter, you are an extremely wise man. The waiting gave me some time to really think about what I wanted and a whole lot of other things.

Not sure what is going to happen and haven't really thought much about it....BUT.... it's clear we both want to reuinite for emailing if nothing else. He really is a nice man.... among his other good qualities and I'd be proud to call him a friend, again.

AND... he did look me up again, although he denies it ;).... so I'm just going to let this play out how it's supposed to.

I don’t know about the wise part, but you hear way too many times now about some psycho’s out there and how they prey on the lonely.

I hope everything works out for you.

Besides my Step Dad passed last April, and my Mom has all ready been ripped off by some jerk!

But I also know what Leslie is talking about, and I know I would not want to be caught up in some game. And she is right, those things are total BS!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll forget getting mad about the prey on the lonely part. :icon_tease::flag: Speaking of that, years ago, when I was lonely, I fell into an internet dating trap... Married guy who told lie after lie and was pretty good at it.... or I was desperate... Well whatever...

This is the email I just got from "him"

    Carrie:

Dinner sometime? Catch-up on what's been happening in our lives.

Oh, man, I feel for ya, Carrie..........I can't even imagine dating at our age and stage of life.

I've been out of circulation so long that all the rules have changed several times over--- back when I was single, there was no Internet, no AIDS, not even date **** (oh, it happened all right, but no one called it that, and it was always the woman's fault). I remember when it wasn't proper for a girl to ask a guy out.......unless it was Sadie Hawkins Day, we were supposed to wait for HIM to ask US. And wait we often did........

Nope, my life may be boring and conventional, but I'm glad I don't have to deal with all of this dating stuff. I hope things go well for you, my friend!!

Hay, I found the juicer I'm going to get and I need to stick by my NY resolution to drink a smoothie or glass of healthy juice for at least one meal a day.... For the next two weeks-month it's going to be two per day, cause I absolutely need to lose 20 pounds quickly... It's a Breville juicer.

Breville and Champion seem to be the highest rated juicers out there.

I'm glad Stinky is going to be fine. How neat that the family gathered for the burial. Poor Stinky couldn't watch. :(

    Thought for the day -

"No woman will ever be truly satisfied...

because no man will ever have a chocolate penis

    that ejaculates money."

    Deer Camp

The guys were all at a deer camp. No one wanted to room with Bob,
because he snored so badly. They decided it wasn't fair to make one of them
stay with him the whole time, so they voted to take turns.

The first guy slept with Bob and comes to breakfast the next morning
with his hair a mess and his eyes all bloodshot.

They said, 'Man, what happened to you?

He said, 'Bob snored so loudly, I just sat up and watched him all
    night.'

The next night it was a different guy's turn. In the morning, same
thing - hair all standing up, eyes all bloodshot.

They said, 'Man, what happened to you? You look awful!'

He said, 'Man, that Bob shakes the roof with his snoring. I watched
    him all night .'

The third night was Pete's turn. Pete was a big

burly ex-Navy man; a man's man. The next morning he came to
breakfast bright eyed and bushy tailed.

    'Good morning,' he said.

They couldn't believe it! They said, 'Man, what happened?'

He said, 'Well, we got ready for bed. I went and tucked Bob into
bed, patted him on the butt, and kissed him good night. Bob sat up and
    watched me all night

    ,

LG, I wanted to tell you that you and he share the same birthday. 1/19... He's three years older though, 53.

We talked for the first time last night and we had quite the sports discussion. Yikes, I forgot that he's a Broncos and Dodgers fan.  (at least he thought that Hochuli call was awful.) He about "died" when I told him I was at that game and will never step foot in Invesco Field again!

He was saved because he's an avid Utes fan. He asked why I wasn't there cheering the Utes on with him this last year. Oh, that would have been so cool.

Well I've made a decision. I'm not letting him go this time. Last time I made some bad decisions that I've regretted... No, I'm not necessarily meaning, marriage or anything along that level. I plan on keeping him as a friend for a long long time.

Then that is o.k., I just hate the 'rules.' I don't do the rules at all. If I feel like e-mailing, calling, texting, I do it ... well back then I mean. I'll call whenever I want now!! :icon_rofl:

OK, well that is different. I know that in the beginning, we would do these short little cute e-mails all day long ... nothing serious -- just one sentence or so. Cute little things. I would hate to wait 2 days for that reply! :icon_rofl:

WOW! Thanks for the links! She does truly have a voice of an angel. She better have won that contest.

She already has her own website:
    http://www.connietalbot.com/

    A quote:

'In the past 12 months, Connie has proved that it is possible to grow up as a normal schoolgirl in the UK's West Midlands, whilst promoting her CD's, shooting videos, receiving gold and platinum discs, signing cd's, and appearing on major TV shows across the world! With five gold and platinum discs under her belt, it is clear that little Connie Talbot was born to sing!'

I hope they keep it as "normal" as they can for her...
