Was there one other than Norv's tired rehashing of what worked in Dallas? No offensive genius here but even I know when people are blitzing off the edge non-stop and they are playing man up on the sides you take your slot and TE and go to a quick passing game, slants, curls, and crossing patterns that take 1 to 2 seconds to run. 1 to 3 step drops, thats it. Draw plays up the gut once the d-line and backers over pursue to the QB. its not hard to slow that crap down and Norval just never does the common sense thing. He somehow thinks he's back in Dallas. Never gonna say Rivers is as good as Aikman but Troy was more a product of the system and who he had around him then being a Farve\Marino\Elway type. Emmitt Smith was a beast of a running back but again his production was part of the system. Same for Irving, Novacek, etc.. The system being let our OL beat up people then either sit in our 6 second pocket or run through the gaping holes we had. Dallas was great but mostly due to the fact they fielded what some consider to be the best O-Line of all time. You grab that O-Line and throw our skill players around them and we would be looking at Lomardi's as well. Norv has to call based on our strengths and weaknesses. And it aint the O-line (Thanks for that AJ).

Throw that Dallas O-line on ANY team and they're looking at Lombardis. That O-line was a product of a whole lot of Texas money.

Have they come out of any game this week with a game plan that didn't look like it came straight out of last year? WHat have they done period to be creative or different? Bluntly it looks like in his last year when he had the most to lose, that Norv mailed it in

Norv's :poop: just ran out...Rivers has declined the last few years under Norv; it makes me question whether he was ever a good QB coach. The whole offense looked shell shocked the last couple of weeks...reflection of their HC. Rivers game plan? Get off the field alive! Same plan that Scifi has for next week.

Mostly thanks to the Minnesota Vikings ala the Hershel Walker trade.
