Just because Arians has been overlooked doesn't mean he hasn't got the chops. Beathard plucked Bobby Ross from obscurity. Prior to that, were NFL teams seriously looking at him as an HC? Nope.
Bummed it wasn't my guy Gamble, but relieve it wasn't Raye. Can the new GM fire the PR guy? I don't wanna read any "Chill Pill" BS this time next year.
Heard his press conference, he sounds like a great guy with a good head on his shoulders and I like what he brings to the table. He's a fresh perspective for a team that definitely needs it.
Shifty little bugger. http://www.chargers.com/media-vault...-Telesco/1dd5ea15-b7e9-43d6-ba4f-69615a425dea
I missed the first 4 minutes staring at Annie's chest, but after that yeah, Acee was definitely letting us know that he Acee is looking forward to shopping for a new set of kneepads...
I'm not necessarily excited about Telesco because I don't know enough about GM's (other than I feel Indy had been mediocre for most of Manning's tenure there, he just masked it) but I am excited about a change. If we can get a good coaching candidate I'll be cautiously optimistic for this upcoming season (I've learned against getting my hopes up with this team).

Chargers' General Manager Will Be Around Until at Least 2014 http://www.aolnews.com/2008/01/02/chargers-general-manager-a-j-smith-will-be-around-until-at-lea/
Telesco said he's love to keep Raye on board........ what are the odds on Jimmy actually answering that call? http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/jan/09/Jimmy-Raye-Chargers-GM-Jets-Tom-Telesco/
Considering it sounds like Raye is livid that he didn't get the job... very doubtful. He'll end up taking the Jets job just to spite us and end up wrecking his career... you watch!
Hell no he wouldn't want to stay. Young Johnny hires his buddy Tommy. He should know that he has no future in SD so he better jump at any GM job.
Ironically, he might want to look at the career of this new boss. He was expecting become GM of the Colts, but was Passed over. Now he's in a good position as GM.
Where did you hear he was livid? It'll be a bummer if we lose the guy, but I'm not opposed to more new blood in all areas of the organization.
Colt fans reaction.. http://forums.colts.com/index.php?/topic/14490-tom-telesco-officially-chargers-gm-edit/
Annie Heilbrun (or however she spells it). Wasn't anything published. But she responded to a tweet I sent saying he was having another of his "stern silent spells".
Michael Gehlken @UTgehlken It's a four-year contract for Tom Telesco as the Chargers' new general manager, per team spokesman. No word on salary.
Annie Heilbrunn @annieheilbrunn My report from #Chargers Park on Tom Telesco, plus interviews with Telesco & Dean Spanos: http://bcove.me/3uqaplpy
Here is the press conference in case you missed it. http://www.chargers.com/media-vault...nference/e56df23b-fb9e-49e1-b996-acc442feb5a3
I'm fine with building through the draft...... it's the only way that makes sense, frankly. The Eagles showed just how iffy it is to use free agency to build a roster. The real question, is can he make the right choices come draft day...... we'll have to wait and see.
It's not like that philosophy has done terribly wrong by the Niners, Packers, Seahawks, Texans... not to mention two of the other more recent Super Bowl winners (Giants and Steelers).
