UTKevinAcee: Tom Telesco is the new Chargers GM. Story coming from @utgehlken. (24 seconds ago fromTweetDeck)
Yeah, well, that's all well and good, Miss Syddie-Come-Lately, but I made the OFFICIAL announcement on this very thread 1/2 hour ago at 10:29 a.m. pst!!
Welcome to San Diego Tom Telesco. I doubt the Chargers would have gone outside the organization if they hadn't hired Ron Wolf to consult during this process. A very exciting day. Now who is going to start the Fire Tom Telesco thread???
I am sooooooooo sick of this freakin' Tommy Telescopo guy!! Has he fixed the O-line? NO!!! Has he hired Belichick away from the Pats? NO!!! Has he made the Spanos family seem lovable? NO!!! Has he drafted Luke Joeckel yet? NO!!! I think we've been plenty patient here!!!!
Has he convince Corona Doug of his brilliance? No. Dougy won't like him because he's too TALL or something. Hahaha

UTKevinAcee @UTKevinAcee Tom Telesco blew Chargers away w knowledge of roster & ideas for fixing it. Did it without referring to notes. He won job vs. Raye losing it I would really love to hear these ideas
"Roster? Uh, yeah...you guys, like, totally have one! And I'm absolutely ready to fix it! Step One: Make roster better. Not just some...lots! Step Two: [waving hand] You do not see me using notes. Step Three: Please stop calling me 'tabasco' Step Four: Help me hunt down that 14 year-old bastard who said I was 'not a real option' for this job"
I can see we're going to have a lot of fun with this guy's name. Looks like we've transitioned from the golden piss to the magic tobasco.

For the detractors, the Dolphins and Jets have asked for permission to interview Raye (insert Rooney Rule joke here).
Well, I was pretty sure Indy staff wasn't focused on the Ravens, before that weak effort. At least we know someone was studying something!
The other side of that argument is that Zimmer is a guy who has been talked about as a potential HC for a long time, while Arians has risen to prominence this season.
Okay, this may not be 100% "politically correct," but could we, just possibly, consider hiring a HC who would be willing to pretend he was really, really sick... to inspire the players to win 11 games or more...?
