You can't be a fan without being delusional that goes without saying. :icon_toast: By the way there are more Giants fans in NE over the age of 50 than there are Pats fans.
Believe me, I'm well aware of the Pats' fan situation. My SIL's ex is from Attleboro, MA. He's an ***, but the rest of his family are good people. Quite unlike many of the arrogant preening pricks that I've met while visiting them. I'm an over 50, VA-based Charger fan. No bandwagoning here, I can assure. It can get tough standing your ground on a team when you're 3k miles away from it's primary fan base, but times like these you get to revel in it. Here's to a good game. :icon_toast:
:icon_eek: Dayuuum!!! You're almost as old as Gramps. I really need to find the Charger forum that caters to the young and the beautiful.
I've maintained the beauty part. Age is merely a state of mind. Now bite me, you young whippersnapper. :icon_tease:
Thanks-If you're an over 50 Charger fan you got a chance to see Alworth and Winslow both as good as it gets at the position. I was in total awe of both of those guys.
Is it Sunday yet?! Damn I'm tired of hearing about the Jets. It doesn't bother me that networs are interviewing jet players and everyone jumping on their nuts. What bothers me is a NY team in any playoff format demanding so much coverage regardless their chances. **** the Jets, they're road grade, crush and run, and inevitable gravel. This game can't get here soon enough, so I don't have to hear about them anymore.
Same here...I'm not in the over 50 camp (39) but remember the days of Fouts, Winslow, Muncie et al. Buck and I made the trip up your way earlier this year for the Giant game and had a blast! We're definitely loaded going into this game, but strange things can happen in the playoffs... You seem like a stand up guy Biggs, does this mean you're coming back in Sunday night to take your lumps if things going according to script? opcorn:
Any story coming out of New York is news, especially when a New York sports team makes the playoffs. I don't care. That's just media people being told what to do by their bosses. No big deal. After Sunday there will no more talk about New York in the mainstream media, and God help us, NO MORE DALLAS talk. Then it will all be Favre and Manning talk...:icon_rofl:
That Giant game was a good one...for you! I'm willing to come back Sunday night but I'm not sure if it will be appreciated? I'm not the type to kick the opposition when their down.:icon_evil:
Sure, you'll be welcome back, biggs. But I wouldn't count on being able to land any kicks - we're gonna be flying pretty high after this win.
That happens to the best DB. He is very good at his job, but he gives up height to Jackson, who excells at going up and getting the ball. Rivers also excells in putting the ball in thight places where the WR is the one who has the best chance to catch the ball. It is a good matchup. But lets say Revis shuts down VJ. Who shuts down Gates, Lt, Sproles, Tolbert, Floyd, Naanee, Manumaleuna or any of the others? Old football addages states use the Run to set up the pass. Air Turner uses the short pass to set up the long pass and the run. In the end, I think the Chargers have to beat themselves... Of course, i could just be a cocky Chargers homer...
When I first saw this thread title, I am thinking "yeah, we want to play the Jets too!!!" It is high level football right now, and I'd rather face them this week, rather than baltimore, and colts.
I know this one hurts, I've been on the other side of it. Thanks for the football talk. Hopefully we meet again down the road.
FIRE NORV he is a JINX My god how could that freaking team beat us. Rivers is a loser His SMACK talk causes us grief. And why keep LT HELLO
Marty Schottenheimer Ryan sends game ball from playoff win to Marty Schottenheimer.http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d815e1263&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true How's it feel that your Chargers Choked Again... the only team to fire a head coach that had a 14-2 record LMAO:icon_rofl:
Marty Schottenheimer How'd it feel to watch your Patsies roll over and die in the 1st quarter vs. the Ravens? At least our game was competitive, painful to watch and depressing to deal with the loss afterwards yes, but the Pats were dead in the water after the FIRST PLAY OF THE GAME. Now that's funny
Don't WE have 3 RINGS ??? YES Don't you have 0 RINGS ?? YES didnt we BEAT you in the AFCCG in 2007 YES... I'd Rather be a Pats fan then a chargers fan any day. Your QB Cries like a baby all the time, and Didnt Vincent Jackson get pulled over last sunday on his way to the game for having his RADIO to loud LMAO and Rivers had to go pick him up :icon_rofl: your team SUX in the playoffs plain and simple... So what we lost to the Ravens it happend anything can happen on any givin sunday nless your a Charger that is :lol::lol:
