Just a starter list ..... there will be more ..... Reggie Nelson is a dumbass ... Green Bay Gazette .... NFLDraftCountdown.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brandow Merriweather is a thug and is NOT in Gil Brandt's top 50 players. Gun incident Even though I am VERY pro-2nd Amendment, I don't understand why a college kid needs to be packing. Miami - FIU brawl ( #19 - stomping on a downed player) <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/gR4l0vMSrlc"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/gR4l0vMSrlc" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
He was next on the list. Dog *** slow ..... When was the last USC WR that did anything in the NFL? Keyshawn? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I also don't want that Buckeye China Doll ..... Ted Ginn, Jr.
I'm an every other year guy on OT's ....... This is my good year. Three draft ago ... I liked Gallery (bust) Two drafts ago ... I said J. Brown was better than A. Barron. (Winner) Last draft, although I did like D'Brick, I didn't like McNeill. But, McNeill changed a hell of a lot since his college days, using leverage instread of "leaning" and now plays to the whistle HARD. He didn't do that at Auburn. So ..... it really doesn't matter at the top, because we're not there. But, I think Joe Thomas might struggle in the NFL with his (Gallery, Olivea) short arm disease. If Levi Brown ramps up his intensity, he's going to be a STUD in the NFL. I like Staley (and would really like him more as a RT). Tony Ugoh has the tools, needs refinement. I've seen a few posters and websites pimping that ND Irish OT Harris. I love ND, but he fuggin' sucked in most big games.
So far, Shammy, I think you're choices are on track. If we don't get a safety with our 1st, I'm really hoping for Meachem. No Nelson, no Merriweather, no Jarrett.
Where was Meachem two years ago? Why does he only have one good season in college? Am I the only one that has some doubt about him? It seems like I've often seen WR's that only have one good season turn into busts in the NFL. I don't hate him, but I really am scared of him as a first round pick. PS - Since when is anything from Shammy considered Official?
I say we draft Hellboy for ILB and The Hulk for an OLB. Maybe Frozone and Dash could be added to our secondary.:icon_tease: Just kidding. Merriwether is not a good choice. Kid has zero respect for the game. We need some looks at the "small school" guys. Would be great if there was a database of these kids.
oh come on Terry,... you need not look farther than Meachems OC 2 yrs ago (a bust) and then last year (Cutcliffe)... and then consider his QB (Ainge) also decided to step up from being pathetic.... and lastly, he got healthy... PS Never...
:icon_rofl: we'll just have to call you "bag lady"... this is for you: GBN today: Top OT sliding… About this time in the pre-draft process it seems that some players stock will be falling and right now there is a sense that the stock of Wisconsin OT Joe Thomas may have slipped slightly of late. Thomas has long been pretty much penciled in as the player most likely to be taken by Detroit with the second pick overall this year, however, Thomas appears to have dropped out of most teams top three after what were considered to be some unimpressive pre-draft workouts. Whether Thomas is truly falling, or just getting picked a little on of late is hard to determine, however, if he has slipped is isn’t by much. In fact, while he's not flashy, Thomas is still considered to be one of the best LT prospect to come along in a while. Meanwhile, no player may be moving up faster than Central Michigan OT Joe Staley who has broken into the top 20 on many value boards around the league. Indeed, some scouts won’t totally rule out the possibility that Staley might also go ahead of Levi Brown of Penn State, who is much bigger than Staley but is no where near as athletic as the former tight end. ** Staley goes before Brown...
I've never seen Staley but I don't know what you want an OT to do that Levi Brown can't do. He pass blocks well and he can run block very well. We aren't in the market for an OT this year but if we were I'd be happy with a pick of Brown. I think we could look at an OL guy in the third or fourth round though. I kind of like Brandon Frye, OT/OG, of Virginia Tech for a third or fourth round pick.
i still think there is a chance Thomas is the only first round LT. every year people say there will be 3 or 4 LTs taken and it hardly ends up that way. I think Brown could be a high second rounder and staley the same.
I think it will depend on the team... those that want a "relatively stationary" OT will take Brown... but Staleys athleticism will find its way to a team that likes to pull the off tackle... and he can run... my guess, one of em will fall to rd two...
Which one of your Turds is going to drop all the way to the 2nd day? Goodell isn't going to let that **** fly anymore.
