Yes. It means nobody gets left out to die or suffer chronic illness untreated like they do in your country. You just have to be willing to spend 12-14 hours in an emergency room if you have a "little cough and a sore throat". We have a priority system here at the hospital... the more severe cases get taken care of first. That is the way it should be. You americans just shake your heads and say "that's socialism, you're a socialist!!!". Is it? I don't know and I don't care really. All I know is that everyone is taken care of in exchange for being patient and chipping in some money. This gives people peace of mind knowing they will be cared for. That is Freedom. If society is a union of individuals working together to survive, the well being of every member is critical in order for the whole to flourish and thus, medical care is a right in a democratic society since it is in the well being of the whole for each individual member to flourish.
