I know we have be pounded by threads, media, not so know-it-alls etc with everything negative LT. In this simple poll, indicate (Honestly) if you think LT is a puss or if you think LT is a stud who couldn't go. I will tell you right here and now, that LT was not alone on the bench....It was *** cold out, the warmest place in that stadium not called a locker room and club level was the damn bench. LT is a superstar and in the biggest game of his life...He gave it a go when he shouldn't have and found out very early in the game that his **** was hurt worse then he had thought. He was pissed, bummed, upset and not to mention it was 5 degrees out. LT doesn't deserve the crap he is taking from people for not playing and not being up and supporting his team. He has done nothing but good for this team and community. Give us your vote...In the end (hopefully everyone particiaptes), we shall see the percentages of posters that think he was being a puss or not.
Something kinda weird about the whole LT thing for me: late last week my son and I were at the sporting goods store and they had the LT Macfarlane so bought it for him (and me ). The weird thing is LT is sitting on the bench with his helmet on just like he was in the NE game minus the cold weather gear. It looks weird. :icon_shrug:
It takes a real team player to take themselves out of a game for the good of the team. LT is more of a team player then I ever was. Lord knows I was as stubborn as any high school jock. "Take me out of the game, you gotta be crazy coach." But now that I look back at it, I hurt the team more than I did to help it.
Why is it did LT pussout... he took himself out of the game because he was hurt and he could not play. He did the right thing , he said himself he couldn't help out, and that Turner and Sproles could help out much better. He was right. I don't think he pussed out, I just didn't like the stone statue of him on that bench. He did get up I saw ,but he wouldn't take that stupid helmet off . If only he took that helmet off.That was embarssing to watch. He needs to know how to handle himself when losing infront of millions of people if he is going to be the icon of the team.Supporting your team is apart of being a good teammate. In no way did he puss out though . He just was hurt and nobody can say he was weak or pussed out because he was hurt. If a guy can't play they can't play leave it at that.
