Best record in the NHL, up 5-1 on the Capitals right now.

At least one of my favorite teams knows how to win.

thornton has to be top 5 all around in the nhl

problem is, why are they playing boucher and nabakov. pick a goalie and stick with him. benching one guy in a rotation is disrespectful. they r both playing well though.

Best start in NHL history through 25 games.

As for why they're playing both goalies...if it's working (and it is) why complain?

I think Nabokov was hurt a bit, though.

Seeing a line like that has drawn my interest Leo .

Before you get all cranked up about the Sharks (by the way, they ARE good)...they have done zippo once the calendar turns to April and May. Many times have they done well in the regular season only to fall on their faces in playoffs.

I'll believe when they come out of the West...

    By the way, go Caps!

Right, they've done well in the regular season and failed in the playoffs, but they've never done this well in the regular season.

In fact, nobody has done this well in the regular season until this point of the season till now.

Granted that still doesn't mean much come playoff time, but it's a much better indicator of their capabilities.

And how have the Caps done in playoff time as of late, eh?

after seeing them lose at columbus, a casual observer could say that the sharks are a finesse team. they might struggle against bigger, stronger teams (like columbus). btw that mason kid looked like an all star.

    my top goalies:
    1) brodeur
    2) backstrom
    3) thomas
    4) mason
    5) anderson

this detroit game later today will prove that. i am not a red wings fan but looking at a lineup with datsyuk, franzen, zetterberg (on different lines), hossa and lidstrom i would put dollars on them any day.

that defenseman boyle should be a wing. that guy has skills shooting and if he wanted to pass first one time the whole team would be better. imo

Even if they lose to the Wings it won't prove anything other than that the Wings had a better game.

They've beaten up on the competition to the point of having the best 30 game start in NHL history.

You can't just look at one or two games and dictate that they can't hang with the "stronger" teams just because the games in question are the most recent.

It's an 82 game season, they're not going to win them all.

Tonight is not the real test. The real test comes when the playoffs start.

And Boyle shouldn't be anywhere other than where he is.

beside thornton boyles the best shooter on the team. cheechoo doesnt even play half the time. why would you put a 5'10 185 lb sharpshooter as a defenseman??

I think we can throw out that game.

Detroit's problem is their defense. If they don't start shutting teams down it'll be tough to repeat
