People complain about Favre coverage, meanwhile CBSsports.com reports on Tim Tebow's (lack of) sex life...
Why in the holy mother of frak is this a story? I hate florida being a Bulldog fan, I especially hate Tim Tebow. but why in hell is this a major story? What does it matter?
You're right and it probably shouldn't be a major story. So my bad for perpetuating it. But I giggled like a school girl and had to be the one to break the story here.
As a random sports fan living in Arkansas who does not know the guy personally, this is information that is really none of my business. But, since CBSsports.com felt the entire country needs to know about Tim Tebow's (lack of) sex life, I will take this moment to applaud Tim. It takes a lot of guts to openly admit to waiting for marriage in a society that looks down on guys for not "scoring" every chance they get. (Meanwhile calling women sluts and whores for doing the same.)
I'll bet Cro is speechless right now. Well, actually, I'll bet he isn't. :icon_banana: :icon_rofl:
I don't blame you. I blame CBS for thinking somehow this was a 'good story' idea. Not that Tebow has done great charity work or that he seems to be one of the few college players that isn't a self absorbed jerk. But that he's a virgin and won't have sex til marriage. And the whole article seems to say that's a bad thing - in the end its his damn choice. I don't care about what he does with his sex life, that's a personal issue for him to deal with.
I actually just read the entire article and I feel the need to apologize to CBSsports.com for my comments. If you read the article you'll see that Dennis Dodd (the writer) is actually chastizing a former co-worker (Clay Travis) now working for AOL Fanhouse who is the one who asked the question and reported on it at his new venue. It can be argued that CBSsports should still show decorum and not even bother with this article, but I don't roll my eyes at this one quite as much as I first did because it's basically a response similar to ours to the person who did feel the need to report on Tebow's sex-life status.
