Tommie Harris' wife on life support By Sean Jensen on February 12, 2012 1:42 PM | No Comments | No TrackBacks The wife of former Bears Pro Bowl defensive tackle Tommie Harris is on life support and fighting for her life, a family friend told the Sun-Times. Harris wife, Ashley, is 29 years old and she suffered either a stroke or brain aneurism, said family friend Bill Horn. "We are holding on for a miracle," Horn said. Ashley is in a hospital in Oklahoma and some of Harris' former Bears teammates are en route to lend their support. Harris was popular among his teammates while with the Bears. Ashley gave birth to the couple's second child just four months ago.
My God! That's a horribly unfair break for someone 49... for a 29 year-old it's just obscene! Here's hoping the family gets the 'miracle' they're praying for... (and...re. the Charger family, Tommie IS still on our active roster as far as I know)
I became the Chief Umpire for my son's Little League because the guy who held the position before me had to leave. His 18 Year old son had a Heart Attack and lived in Las Vegas. He spent one month over there. They never found out why he had one.
Life really is short sometimes.......... can't take anything for granted in this world. I can't imagine how Tommie Harris must be handling this right now. Tommie Harris with his wife Ashley (Getty)
This is just horrible news, I can only pray for the Harris family and hope they find comfort and peace sometime soon
