Yeah in terms of top players that will never get a ring I agree with Gonzalez, Taylor, Moss, Palmer, 85 and Owens.

    Like u said I wouldn't write off LT just yet. Other great players who might never win one include;

Bryan Westbrook, Larry Fitz (still has time on his side) and Walter Jones.

What a crap article all around. Pure speculation. They don't even qualify why these players won't win a ring. And three of the players they mention are on the radar to be the top three seeds in the NFL this year. (Granted I think New England will underperform badly). Just bad writing all around.

Elect Obama so he can declare everyone a "winner" and all of the NFL can get a ring. :icon_rofl: :conc:

is it just me or since merriman got injured has everyone in the media 'jumped off our bandwagon' pretty damn quick? Or were they even on it to begin with and just waiting to drown us in hate?

    :icon_shrug: I dont get it....

LT is already beating the odds by lasting more than 3 seasons at RB.....I dont think he has a whole lot of time left, and I dont think I would go into the season with the idea that the team has a whole lot of time left either. Part of having a team that is this talented is keeping the players.
Igor, Goff, Rivers, Merriman.....the list is a long one! We dont have forever and we might not even have more than a couple of years to reach the promised land with the current group.

Make hay while the sun shines.

Embrace the hate! Everyone jumping off our bandwagon makes it easier to embrace the hate, and keeps everyone focused without getting distracted on delusions of grandeur.

So the Patriots and Cowboys won't win a Super Bowl with the teams they have now?

First time I've heard the media say that!!!!

They also have Moss and TO on the list.

Looks more like a "top 10 players who haven't won a ring yet" list to me.

I guess the author is expecting either a surprise team or the Colts to win it this year, as he effectively eliminated 3 of the 4 biggest contenders for the Lombardi in the league with this article....the Colts being the only one he didn't eliminate.

There are two places this article should be: one is the back of LT's locker so he can have a little extra motivation when he hits the field...the other place for this article is the bottom of a bird cage with a bird that really has to go.

I wonder how the author likes his crow prepared, because he is going to be eating some in February!

    Go Chargers!!!

I think the Jets had white helmets on Namath's noggin. He might even have worn white panty hose. How someone could put LT in this group is beyond me. Not quite a sacrilege, but definitely a travesty.

He left the Colts off because everyone on the team has a Superbowl ring. He's not necessarily saying he think's they'll win. But then agian he has eliminated the Patriots, Cowboys, and Chargers so he must think the Colts, Giants, Steelers, or some random team will take the cake. BTW did you guys see the AFCW scores? Ridiculous! Shut-outs in preseason on both KC and Jokeland.

A simple editing of the article's title would actually make it a good write up.

They just need to edit the title to "Top ten players that have not received a Superbowl ring"

Take out the asinine speculation of the future and just rank the players who simply have yet to get one and it's actually a pretty good read.

But the idiot chooses to insinuate that these players will never get one just because they haven't gotten one yet and now he has a good chance of having to have his foot surgically removed from his mouth at the end of the year unless the Colts or some surprise team wins it all.

Philip Rivers isn't on that list so I like our chances. :abq2:

According to that guy Rivers isn't a top ten player. That's why he isn't on the list. LT is the list. What? Do you think LT is gonna retire prematurely or get traded in the next two seasons?

no no no, he's going to take all of the pats rings and then cut them up into smaller sizes and then distribute them to the teams that don't win in the name of fairness...
