outside of the packers that's the best choice to grab turner and it would keep other teams from touching him

Due to recent events I see Baltimore, Green Bay, Carolina, and Tennessee as possible suitors. And maybe Buffalo if they trade McGahee.

Or hell, you never know when any GM that already has a decent RB will go crazy and aquire turner for the 1st and the 3rd.

Say it does happen. Who do you see the chargers grabbing at 12? Safety? WR?

Turner would make any of the afore mentioned teams instant conteders, on offence anyway.

Buffalo would be scary with The Burner in the backfield.

Favre would go to the pro bowl again if Turner were in Greenbay's backfield. The opposing defence's would be keying in on Michael, giving Bret time to murder teams in the air.

Miami is another team that would be scary. IMO, Turner is far better than Ricky "Cronic" Williams, who can return this year. Faster, just as strong, and better moves.

The Titans would see the least improvement. Defences already seemed to play it safe with Young in the backfield later in the season, trying to cut off his running lanes.

While I think that Turner would probably be able to make a good impact on any of those teams I'm not sure that I would say they would be instant contenders. Turner has yet to prove he can withstand a 16+ game season. I think that is what is taking teams so long to pull the trigger. If he leaves the Chargers it will be around the draft.

I see the Bills grabbing Marshawn Lynch at #12 and Turner staying in SD.

Even if he can listen to the Messiah through the CFB, this is the NFL .. :icon_tease:

I guess we will ultimately see if he can handle as there probably is no way he will stay with the Chargers past next year in any scenario.

'Handling the load' is the most overrated BS concept I have ever heard and even more so for being applied to a guy like Michael Turner :lama

You guys are on drugs if you'd rather have Turner over Marshawn Lynch.

Like I said .. My guess is we'll find out soon enough. It might be BS but I'm guessing it is still a factor since we don't have teams trying to knock down the Bolts doors (besides the 1st & 3rd that AJ demands).

Lets just get a 1st rounder for turner. Unless A.j. thinks he can hang onto turner for a couple more years. Other wise he's gone without any good to very good player to replace him with compensation.

Looks like the chargers are staying quiet in FA.

I don't think they have anymore money. I've heard anything from 21 million to 9 million just before the dielman trade. So they may not have much left. Dielmans taking up 17 million in two years.

If anyone really knows the status of the chargers salary cap now go ahead and post it.

Its a made up term that GM's use to dial down the value a player is worth during trade and contract negotiations.

Turner is going to be amazing, its too bad he didnt come to us 5 years from now when LT will be considering retirement.

    Turner > Lynch.

    Turner > Peterson.

    Turner > you.

Lynch is one hell of a player though and a great all purpose back. He truly is a player cut from the mold of LT. But hey then again I am on record saying Turner is a more productive runner than LT :abq2:
