The only question is WHICH TEAMS come to L.A. There will be two. One NFC team, One AFC team.
San Antonio, TX also wants an NFL team and has a stadium ready; the 65,000 seat Alamodome. Jerry Jones naturally will petition this move, but San Antonio will likely have a team in less than five years.

NFL teams actively looking for a new stadium are: The Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, San Fransico 49'ers, Oakland Raiders, and drumroll.... the San Diego Chargers.

The only teams who are actually looking to leave their home town are the Jacksonville Jaguars, Bills and Raiders. The others will only move if they can't get a new stadium built where they are, and a couple of teams have been trying for a decade.

So the thread topic is: Which teams will end up where? Will they change their names? What would you like to see happen?

Dude. You're not going to convince anybody here.

Your best bet is to just enjoy Chargers talk with us and silently hope it happens.

You do know that if any team comes to play in Roski's stadium, he wants part ownership in it, right? Spanos won't give that up.

The Vikings have made it clear that they will not renew their lease in the dome when it's up.

The 49ers already have a new stadium in process that would be built in Santa Clara. THe bills won't go ANYWHERE as long as Ralph Wilson is alive. They may play some of their season in Toronto though.

The Jags are a possibility, given that they've only had one sellout all season.

The Raiders? That is an obvious choice, given that they've moved twice alread and Uncle Al was laughed out of court when he tried to sue the city of Oakland.

Let's just say, for argument sake, the Jags & Vikings moved to LA. Would the Jags be put in our division? Vikings in the NFC West? And if so, who would be removed?

I'd say yes there will be some kind of realignment in the divisions, with KC and LA Jags switching places and the Rams and Vikings swapping. Makes the most sense.

Please don't try to sell me the "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO they can't do" that defense.

We are forgetting one obvious candidate...the Rams.

Rumors are rampant that they are for sale and they don't draw flies in that dome in STL. Admittedly, I do not know what their current lease situation is, but if they have an escape clause who's to say Roski won't buy the team and exercise the escape, provided it isn't prohibitive to do so?

That also mitigates any need for realignment in the NFC. Everybody (except the city of St. Louis) wins in this arrangement.

I won't sell you the "they can't do that" defense, but I will sell you the they won't do that defense.

They won't split up the KC/Den and KC/Oak rivalry for the same reason they kept Dallas in the NFC East during the last realignment.

Likewise, they won't split up the Vikings rivalry with the Bears and Packers.

There is a group headed up by owner of the NHL team there. That group is making a push to buy the Rams to keep them in St. Louis.

I forgot the Rams were for sale. He would make a great owner, he would bring Super Bowl glory back to the Rams. Too bad Roski can't own an NFL team, he owns a casino.

Given that one of the terms of the move will be that Roski has controlling interest in the team, the casino issue will be dealt with. Bank it.

I'd love to see the Rams come back to LA and go back to their original colors/uniforms.

If that happens, I'd make a trip up there during a Chargers road game or bye week.

That is true, and I didn't say that. Just like the Chargers didn't start in San Diego, they belong in San Diego.

Difference being, the Rams played almost a full decade in Cleveland as opposed to one season for the Chargers in LA.

I'm not saying they "belong" in Cleveland, though. I was just throwing that out there.

I will say this much, however. The Rams' biggest seasons of prominence were in St Louis....

Leaked reports indicate both the Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams will move back to Los Angeles for the 2010-2011 NFL season.

The Raiders’ attempts to get public financing for a new stadium in Oakland, along with sharing a stadium with Bay Area rival San Francisco 49ers, have failed. The St. Louis Rams also have been trying unsuccessfully to get public financing on a new football stadium.

For the Raiders, it’ll mean leaving their original Northern California home for a return to Southern California, where they played from 1982-1994. And for the Rams, it’ll mean returning to Los Angeles—where they left in 1994.

The move has been endorsed by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

“Los Angeles is the nation’s second-largest TV and radio market, and we’re thrilled to once again have two NFL teams there,” Goodell said. “We may try to generate more publicity and revenue by encouraging celebrities to attend games.”

This would most likely include actors Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, along with singer Barbra Streisand and even musician Eddie Van Halen (who was born in the Netherlands but grew up in Pasadena, Calif. and still lives near Los Angeles in Studio City).

Goodell said they even have been trying to get Jennifer Love Hewitt to attend some games, but so far the Texas-born star of Ghost Whisperer has declined. “Ms. Hewitt’s a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan,” Goodell explained.

In a move mirroring what the New York Jets and Giants do, both L.A. teams will share a $729 million stadium being built in Anaheim, near where the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim currently play. Until the stadium is completed in 2013, the Raiders will play in the L.A. Coliseum, while the Rams will play in the Rose Bowl.

“These temporary homes are fitting,” Raiders owner Al Davis said in an exclusive interview with Bleacher Report. “The USC Trojans play in the Coliseum while the UCLA Bruins play in the Rose Bowl, and since the Raiders and Rams will once again be crosstown rivals, these temporary places will generate excitement.”

Davis added, “Maybe even some of our Oakland-based fans will travel down to the games.”

Chip Rosenbloom, majority owner of the Rams and son of the late owner Georgia Frontiere, said Los Angeles fans are certain to appreciate an NFL game available every Sunday. Whenever one team’s playing a road game, the other team will have a home game.

Fans in Oakland and St. Louis are sure to be upset about losing NFL teams again, but Davis says if he knew then what he knows now about McAfee Coliseum, where the Raiders currently play their home games, he never would’ve moved in the first place.

“Those stupid Berkeley hippies lied to me and never delivered on any of their promises,” said the brash owner. “They’ve probably been listening to too much Green Day music and not enough to reason.”

Rosenbloom, meanwhile, was apologetic to St. Louis fans.

“I’m sorry it didn’t work out long-term here in St. Louis, but that’s the way it goes,” Rosenbloom said. “Maybe they can use Edward Jones Dome as a future home should the NFL ever choose to expand. Or maybe they can use it for one of those many worldwide memorials Al Sharpton wants to have for Michael Jackson.”

Both teams will retain their team nicknames and colors. The Rams, though, plan to abandon the millennium blue and new century gold they adopted for the 2000 season and will return to the royal blue and yellow look.

Then the Raiders must play in the Coliseum and the Rams in the Rose Bowl while they build that awesome stadium. LA getting its NFL Franchises back is great for the southland.

    Crazy article.

Rams are unhappy with their current stadium? Isn't in like 12 years old? I thought their current situation was all about ownership.
Though I do think it would be cool if they returned to LA and brought back the royal blue and yellow look.

Raiders... if Al shopped around for a new city, I don't think he'd get a sale.
Now if he put the team up for sale... billionaires would take to him like flies to a pile of **it!!!

Workplay should have made that clear. Dude just lost the tiny of bit of credibility I afforded him...
And I got all excited about having the Rams and Raiders, two losing franchises this century, taking up real estate in the southland.
