I don't know if they have the "passion" for the game that TT likes so much. But they should provide good competition and might have a shot of making the team.

Now that we have Carrethers, I'm more interested in getting a 34 DE that could provide some pressure when we play nickel.

    All 17: http://www.chargers.com/news/articl...e-Agents/bafbef67-ab54-4cbf-87a9-8b425609cfc8

On that list is a guy named Brelan Chancellor who went to my university. I've watched him play for four years now and I am so glad the Chargers took him. He's got solid hands and speed, but he really shines as a return man. One of the best I have seen and he could be just what the Chargers are looking for. (I know Chris Davis has the flashier play from the season, but Chancellor has great instincts and smarts when hitting his holes on returns.)

Here's a short highlight reel the school put together:

Looks like we went HEAVY on return men and speed this UDFA period, which i'm ok with. Brelan Chancellor is a really good return man, as is Chris Davis, as well all know, and Ducre, Hatfield, and Allen are all athletic freaks.

Colton Underwood really interests me. Justice (I think Justice Mosequeda is his real name, im pretty sure he writes for draftmecca), had a twitter hastag going on "#mathrushers" talking about guys who have the metrics to succeed in the nfl based off many different formulas (i did the spread sheet here....https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...dE1JTDRwaUJvZ2ZZMGtWM3NHN052U3c&usp=drive_web ), and he fits in a very good group of people.

Where did they get we signed Eric Thomas from? If we really did I'd jump out of my chair. Kid will make the team if he grasps the offense.

UPDATE: He signed a deal with the Colts. What a freakin' bummer.

The funny thing is, Chris Davis has a legitimate shot to make the team as well as start, that's how bad we need CB help

So you really think that hes got a legit shot to beat out Verrett/Wright/Williams for the top 2 starting spots and Williams/Gilchrist as the nickel? I cant see it, maybe he's a dime CB and Returner, but thats all i can see out of him...

Verrett no, but Wright and Williams...........Maybe. Wright has a tendency to get dinged up and we haven't even seen Williams in a real NFL game yet, so Davis, Williams, Cromartie, Ghee, and all the others we have, all have a legit shot to compete against each other

Did you see the recent post by Kyle Posey on BFTB detailing every game Wright played last year, with every single one of his snaps looked at? Guy is a seriously legit #2 CB. If he improves on last year he could be a #1. Remember last year was his first time as a full time starter.

I agree, Wright definitely hit a low point against the eagles when he just flat out couldnt stay with desean jackson.. but in the playoffs he held AJ Green to being a non-factor (assist goes to dalton on that one) and decker and demaryius were held to 86 yards combined in the next game. I'm excited to see him build on that and hopefully take another step in the right direction this year

I agree completely. Wright was killing it in the preseason last year. He struggled a bit at the start of the season, but even when he was getting beat, he was usually in good position and aggressively attacking the ball. Seemed like at the start of the season he was an inch away from so many breakups/INTs. By the end of the year, he was making alot of those plays. Some of that had to do with a bit more QB pressure from our front. When your CBs are hanging with receivers and in good position, sometimes all it takes is just a little bit of added pressure on the QB to force them to get the ball out a little bit quicker or a little less accurately than they want.

I think Wright is legit and expect him to improve with another year in our system/coaching.

Good. Purifoy is trash and a massive project at best. Florida puts "athletes" and "track stars" in their secondary, they don't really do anything to cultivate turning them into actual DB's - if a guy has it when he comes there (Jenkins) he has it, if they don't, they're not going to teach him.
