we usually fire the grills back up and wait till all the traffic clears out.
But is there a big traffic jam getting out of there, or does it move at a regular pace?
For 25 + Years I always parked next to A3, then they turned that into Motor Home heaven.
the group started tailgating at A4 before the parking lot redo. then we moved to M4.
its regular pace. but its lighter traffic than where bolttalk tailgates.
We park there every game. We get there early, park near the rear exit, and usually get out pretty quickly.
I'm not sure if there is a quicker exit. They run you out, and get to to the free way....its quick! Friars is a mess trying to exit!
And that is why I loved parking by A3. I could be on the Freeway in 7 Minutes from the time I started my Engine.
I went out the bus gate - took probably 15 minutes
so what kind of food suggestions do you guys have for the Indy game joint tailgate? the crazier the better.
but whatever we do, you guys gotta bring a sample of the "carne of the gods". and of course linda's salsa.
just to confirm it will be the indy game and it will be at Bolt Bunker's spot (its shady and has its own bathrooms0.
We can turn this into basically one giant *** potluck with everyone bringing stuff. Obviously carne of hte gods has to be there.
Also opinions on having a live podcast there?
we can roast a giant horse!
Sounds like this might be the game that I need to make it out to...
Hell ya man. get your azz down here!
we can do that or hire a caterer. either way is good.
food will still be needed for after the game as well.
breakfast will also be covered for those that walk in. were usually there a few hours before the gates open.
my biggest problem is that when I come to SD for the weekend I tend to get all sortsa ****ed up on Saturday night. So my plan to wake up at 8 and get to the tailgate early usually turns into rolling out of bed at noon and speeding to the Home Depot parking lot so I can make it in before kickoff.
catered? how much would that cost and what type of food?
Have fun, folks! I'll be out on 11/9 - if it works well maybe do it again then??
That's were the new stadium WILL be built!
i hear that.
try getting ****ed up earlier. so you pass out earlier.
i do the same thing no matter how much i promise myself i wont.
any kind of food. we usually hire a taco guy.
depended on the amount of people it comes out to about 8-10bucks each. all you can eat.
You and me both brotha!
that might be a damn good idea and we could supplement it with some other stuff as well.
I think we all ready hace the taco cart set up for the indy game. We have 50 some folks already set to eat at the taco cart. This is not a problem as long as well them we need food for say 75ish...we would need a head count 2 weeks early.
Carne, chicken, quesadillas, salsa, damn good cooking....and no clean up by us!
This would be a hella of a party folks!
Lets do this. And to all you folks who might only make it to 1 game, this will be the one!
****! Just realized this is a Sunday night game. I don't think I'll be able to make it as I'm pretty sure I have to work on Monday morning and 9PM is too late to start the drive back to Vegas. :icon_evil:
unfortunately this seems to be a better bet since it would make things a little easier to get there (without an early wake up) and a nice stretch of time to party.
I'm already gonna be in SD for thanksgiving. Maybe I'll just hit the tailgate to hang out and then split back to Vegas and listen to the game on the radio. :icon_shrug:
Just take the day off!
I'm flying back on Mon.AM. I'll be at work by 9am.
sounds like some planned sick time/ leave to me
So you guys are going to have it catered? :icon_shrug:
all suggestions are welcome at this point...
No matter what the food decision is - this will be a blast! :icon_toast:
